OnePlus has marked its foray into TVs with the launch of the OnePlus TV Q1 and OnePlus TV Q1 Pro. The first TVs from the OnePlus stable were launched in India alongside the OnePlus 7T smartphone. OnePlus Q1 and Q1 Pro are premium products which have been priced lower than the other premium options available in the market.

Both the OnePlus TV Q1 Pro and OnePlus TV Q1 run Android 9.0. It comes with a host of smart features and the company aims to provide the most seamless, holistic and immersive experience to its users.

OnePlus TV Q1 and TV Q1 Pro: Specifications and Features

The OnePlus TV Q1 and TV Q1 Pro have similar specifications and design. The only exception is the Speakers. While the OnePlus TV Q1 comes with four speakers, the OnePlus TV Q1 Pro packs in eight speakers. In addition, it also offers a sliding soundbar that slides down whenever the users switch the TV on. The OnePlus TVs boast of a premium design and are clad in carbon fibre at the rear. The bezels are highly narrow, and the display is sleek. The TVs have border-less screens and come with a matte finish.

The OnePlus TV Q1 and TV Q1 Pro are among the most affordable TVs that are equipped with premium 55-inch QLED screen panels. The TVs pack in a high dynamic contrast ratio, Dolby Vision, and offers the highest NTSC colour gamut of 120 percent. The smart TVs from OnePlus comes equipped with a Gamma Colour Magic chipset, which enables it to sport a wider colour gamut on the TV’s screen. The speakers on the Pro model can producing up to 50W sound output. Along with its Dolby Atmos, it offers the users a completely immersive media experience.

The Android TV platform powered OnePlus TV Q1 and TV Q1 Pro will come with support for Google Assistant, Chromecast, Play Store, and YouTube. The TVs will get Android TV update for three years. The smart TVs will also come with support for OnePlus Connect app which offers a host of useful features. The televisions offer OnePlus TypeSync function. Due to this, the smartphone can be used as a remote control for the smart TV. Users are thus equipped to search for content by typing on the remote of the smartphone or by using voice commands. The TVs offer Quick AppSwitch which enables users to seamlessly switch from different apps or find the most-frequently-used apps on the dock bar. The other key features offered by the smart TV are Wi-Fi Sharing, Screen Shot, smart volume control, and TrackPad controls.

OnePlus TV Q1 and Q1 Pro ships with OxygenPlay. This enables users to avail VoD (video on demand) services by providing relevant content on the home page. OnePlus has also come up with the OxygenPlay app that has collaborated with content and video streaming services including YouTube, Prime Video, Eros Now, Hungama, Jio Cinema, and ZEE5.

The OnePlus TV Q1 devices offer a minimalistic remote control. Interestingly, this remote can be charged easily using a USB Type-C port and doesn’t require the traditional AAA batteries. As for the connectivity, users will have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI, and USB.

OnePlus TV Q1 and TV Q1 Pro price in India

The OnePlus TV Q1 has been priced at Rs 69,900, while the OnePlus TV Q1 Pro will be made available to the users at a starting price of Rs 99,900. The smart TVs will go on sale in India from September 28th onwards via Amazon.
