The Chinese tech giant has finally launched its 40Y1 TV in the Indian market. This latest smart TV will be an addition to the brand’s Y-series that debuted the Indian TV market in July ’20. The 40” size of this latest OnePlus TV will put it between the existing models of 32” and 43”.

If we put aside the size difference, the 40Y1 will share the same specs with its elder sibling of 43”. At an aggressive price tag of under ₹25,000, the Y-series will give a tough competition to Nokia TV, Xiaomi TV, Realme TV, etc.

The screen size of OnePlus TV 40Y1 is 40” and it will produce FHD+ resolution giving colors with high accuracy. The screen-to-body ratio on this latest OnePlus offering is 90% with super slim bezels. The color gamut on this TV is DCI-P3 along with noise reduction, gamma engine, with dynamic contrast, anti-aliasing, and good viewing angles.

Coming to the speakers, the TV is equipped with 20W stereo speakers that will produce high clarity, all thanks to Dolby Audio. At its core, the latest OnePlus TV 40Y1 will sport a 64-bit SoC paired with 1GB RAM. The TV will have 8 gigs of  onboard storage and will boot on OxygenPlay support based on Android 9. The TV will come pre-installed with YouTube, Prime Video, Netflix, Zee5, and more. Apart from these apps, users will also get Chromecast, Alexa, and Google Assistant.

A few connectivity features are 2x USB 2.0 ports, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and 2x HDMI ports.

Pricing & availability

OnePlus TV 40Y1 will be sold officially via Flipkart and will come at an aggressive price tag of ₹23,999. The brand will be offering the latest 40” TV at an even more affordable price of ₹21,999 if customers buy it before May 31. The TV will also be available on OnePlus IN website from June 1, 2021.

The SBI Credit Card holders will get an instant discount of ₹1,750 on EMI transactions and instant purchases via Flipkart. For Flipkart Axis Bank credit card holders, the brand is offering 5% instant cashback. The units bought from the brand’s website will be eligible for ₹1,000 off on SBI card and on American Express cards, the discount will be of 5%.
