OnePlus Beats Apple To Become The Most Trusted Brand In India
Founded in 2013 by Carl Pei, the Chinese Smartphone Brand OnePlus has come a long way. The company headed out with the only objective to unsettle the premium smartphone market dominated by the likes of Samsung and Apple. In its zest to provide ‘Flagship Killer’ phones, OnePlus rolled out featured-packed phones at aggressive prices. From its humble beginnings, the company has now become the most trusted phone brand in India.
It is a young brand, but a fast learner. Its first phone was very well received. However, the sequel was panned by most reviewers. Yes, the company came out strong thanks to some excellent products such as the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 5. Also, let us not forget some unusual bumps in its road to success such as a ban on selling ‘Cynogen OS’ phones in India as Micromax held the exclusive rights to the software.
A recently conducted survey, by CyberMedia Research, revealed that OnePlus has managed to beat giants such as Samsung when it comes to the consumer trust. The survey considered many factors including consumer sentiments, preferences, brand loyalty, and service support. Prabhu Ram, Head of the Industry Intelligence Group, CMR states, “As per the latest CMR MICI survey findings. One interesting trend that stands out is that while Apple and Samsung dominate, a brand like One Plus is securing a healthy mindshare amongst Indian smartphone consumers.”
OnePlus is closely followed by Apple and Vivo. Although being second on this list, Apple comes out on top in the ‘Brand Loyalty’ category as Apple fans are more likely to continue their obsession with the brand.
As the reports suggest 100 percent users are satisfied with the quality of the OnePlus phones. Existing customers of OnePlus and Apple are very likely to recommend their favourite brand to others.
