
OnePlus 9RT 5G Powered by Qualcomm SD 888 And 65W Charging Launched In India; Here’s Everything You Need To Know
The latest OnePlus’s 5G offering has finally been introduced to the Indian market.. Along with the launch of OnePlus 9RT 5G, the Chinese tech giant has also unveiled Buds Z2, the next in line variant of OnePlus Buds Z. OnePlus 9R was launched in 2021 with the Snapdragon 870 at its core, the 9RT 5G is the revised variant drawing its power from a more capable and power-efficient Snapdragon 888. The same chipset was earlier seen on the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro.
With key attributes like 50MP triple-camera system, 120Hz AMOLED panel, and 65W charging mechanism, the OnePlus 9RT 5G will directly compete with the likes of Samsung Galaxy S21 FE and more from the segment. Samsung’s flagship was unveiled in the second week of 2022 at a price tag of ₹54,999.
OnePlus 9RT 5G: Key specs & features
OnePlus is offering an all-new Fluid AMOLED panel on the 9RT 5G and the 6.62” panel will come with a punch-hole cutout on the top-left. The 20:9 aspect ratio will produce FHD+ resolution with 1,080*2,400 pixels. The display will come with 120Hz refresh rate and the pixel density of 397ppi. Along with this, the AMOLED panel here will get a Gorilla Glass protection and DCI-P3 color calibration. The latest OnePlus device will also sport an in-display fingerprint scanner. Behind the scenes, the device will boot on Android 12 with OxygenOS 12 on the top.
Moving to the optical setup, the punch hole will house a 16-megapixel sensor whereas the rear will sport a rectangular module housing a triple-camera system. The primary sensor here is a 50 MP Sony IMX766 lens with OIS. It will come paired with a 16MP 123° FOV ultra-wide lens along with a 2MP macro lens. The rear camera will support slow-mo recording up to 1080p and regular video recording up to 4K 60 FPS. The camera app will also offer pro mode, super night scene, timelapse, and more.
Digging deeper, OnePlus 9RT 5G will draw its power from Snapdragon 888, a top of the line SoC from Qualcomm. The top variant will sport 12GB RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. The whole package is backed up by a big 4,500 mAh battery with fast charging support up to 65W. The Warp Charge 65T adapter is included in the box. A few connectivity features are dual SIM 5G, Wi-Fi 6, BT 5.2, NFC, dual-GPS, USB Type-C, alert slider, haptic vibration motor, and the dual-way speaker setup. The speaker setup is powered by Dolby Atmos.
Pricing and availability
The all-new OnePlus 9RT 5G will be available in Hacker Black and Nano Silver color options. The base variant of 8GB RAM and 128GB storage will be available at a price tag of ₹42,999 whereas the 12GB RAM+256GB storage variant will carry a price tag of ₹46,999. The device is on sale from today, i.e. Jan 17 through Amazon IN Great Republic Day sale. The Prime members get early access a day before official launch. The smartphone can be purchased through multiple channels such as the OnePlus Store app, Experience Stores, MyJio, RD, Cromā, and other major outlets.
The buyers who have purchased the device through the OnePlus Store app on January 16 are eligible to win another OnePlus 9RT 5G. For the credit and debit cardholders of Axis Bank and Kotak Bank along with all the EMI transactions, OnePlus is offering a flat discount of ₹4,000. There is also an exchange offer of up to ₹4,000 for the legacy OnePlus devices for the customers buying through OnePlus website and Store app. This exchange offer can be availed up to January 22. The buyers who are purchasing the smartphone through the OnePlus app or website will also be eligible to buy the OnePlus Band at just ₹999 and the Wireless Z Bass Edition at just ₹1,499. The discounted price offer will be valid up to January 26.
Apart from all these launch offers, Jio users will get recharge and cash discounts of ₹1,999 and ₹150, respectively. The Sand Bumper case will also be available at 50% discount up to January 22.
