OnePlus 7 Standard Variant Leaked in 3D Renders and Video

The most awaited OnePlus 7, successor to OnePlus 6, is expected to be launched next month. The company launched OnePlus 6 last year in May and thus it is speculated that the new flagship will also be launched in May this year. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has also teased that the company will spill the beans on the launch of its next smartphone on Wednesday.

The upcoming OnePlus 7 has been leaked online several times in the recent past with most of them hinting to a phone with an all-screen design and a rising (pop-up) selfie camera. However, a recent online leak suggests that the previous leaks were actually showing OnePlus 7 Pro. The leak by Pricebaba and @Onleaks reports that the standard OnePlus 7 will look a lot like the OnePlus 6T and the one with pop-up selfie camera will be launched as OnePlus 7 Pro.

Let’s have a look at the render first before we discuss the other details…

OnePlus 7 Leaked renderBased on the above renders, the OnePlus 7 will be very identical to the OnePlus 6T that was launched last year by the company. The renders feature a phone with a tiny teardrop notch above the screen and an LED flash being inside the oblong camera unit, rather than on the outside. The screen is reported to be 6.2-inch and the dimensions of the phone will be 157.7 x 74.8 x 8.1 mm (9.5mm in thickness with the bump included). Notably, the display is slightly smaller than 6.41-inch panel on the OnePlus 6T. There is no change in the placement of ports and buttons i.e. the alert slider and the power button are situated on the right, whereas the volume rocker is situated on the left side. The bottom edge features the USB Type-C port along with the holes on both sides, while the top edge is bare except for the secondary microphone. Although the renders do not feature an in-display fingerprint scanner, the report does confirm its presence.

We generally ask readers to take the online leaks with a pinch of salt, however going by OnLeaks’s reputation we can expect the above-mentioned details to be authentic. In addition, we’ve also heard mention of a OnePlus 7 Pro in few of the recent leaks, a name which wouldn’t have appeared if the company was going to launch only one version of OnePlus 7.

As mentioned earlier, Pete Lau has tweeted earlier in the day that there will be some news tomorrow regarding company’s upcoming launch. However, his tweet didn’t reveal anything else about the product. One of the recent rumour has also indicated that OnePlus may release the much-awaited OnePlus 7 on May 14 around the world. It is also being speculated that the company will launch the OnePlus 7 5G variant alongside the standard and the Pro version.

W.r.t. the specs, the OnePlus 7 Pro is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 SoC along with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone will feature a triple camera setup one the back with one 48-megapixel sensor, another 16-megapixel sensor, and a last 8-megapixel sensor. It is expected to run on Android 9 Pie operating system and pack a USB Type-C port.

Notably, OnePlus is also reported to be working on a new pair of wireless earbuds as well as OnePlus Smart TV. Pete’s recent teaser could well be of any of these products instead of OnePlus 7. Too many speculations, isn’t it? Don’t worry, stay tuned and we’ll get you all the official updates soon.
