OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple

OnePlus launched its latest flagship smartphone dubbed as OnePlus 6T on October 30th in India. At the time of launch the company introduced only two colour variants- Midnight Black and Mirror Black. The company then launched a third colour variant i.e. ‘Thunder Purple’ in China just a few days ago. And now it seems all set to launch the new colour variant in India along with some other global markets. The company took to twitter to make the announcement without revealing the exact date. Launching a new colour variant is a good marketing strategy which helps the product to stay on top of the news list. However, this is usually done at a later stage from the launch date. So, it comes as bit of a surprise that OnePlus is adding a new colour variant within just a couple of weeks of the official product launch.

For the uninitiated, the OnePlus 6T was launched in India last month priced at Rs. 37,999 for the base variant i.e. 6GB RAM + 128GB storage (Mirror Black), Rs. 41,999 for the mid-variant i.e. 8GB RAM + 128GB storage (Midnight Black and Mirror Black) and Rs. 45,999 for the top variant i.e. 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant (Midnight Black). Notably, the phone is Amazon exclusive.
