The OnePlus 6T was rumoured to be launched on 17th October in India. However, the official OnePlus website now mentions that the phone will be revealed on October 30th at an event which will be held in New Delhi. The global unveiling of the phone will also be held on the same date in New York. The invitations will be available for purchase only via OnePlus.in. Fans in India can purchase invitations for the event starting 10 a.m. on October 17th at a price of Rs. 999. The entry pass will come along with a goodie bag consisting of OnePlus Bullets Wireless earphones, OnePlus sketch book, OnePlus pin-set and a digital voucher worth Rs. 999 that will be emailed after the launch.

OnePlus 6T pre-bookings have already started from 12 noon today (i.e. October 9) on Amazon.in. Offline stores like Croma and OnePlus exclusive offline stores will also be taking pre-bookings for the device. Prospective buyers who pre-book the phone will also receive the all-new Type-C Bullets Earphones worth Rs. 1,499 on purchase of the new device. OnePlus customers will also get an additional Rs. 500 cash back in the form of Amazon Pay Balance on completing their purchase of the OnePlus 6T. However, once you get the Gift card, it cannot be cancelled, refunded or returned. Go on pre-book the phone now!

For those who are unaware, the OnePlus 6T is confirmed to arrive with an in-display fingerprint scanner which will be called Screen Lock. Unfortunately, the company has skipped 3.5 mm jack and replaced the same with single USB-Type C port in order to make space for the in-display scanner. The phone will not have any IP rating but Pete Lau (OnePlus CEO) revealed that the phone will still be as good as water resistant against splashes, rain or a mug of water. The reason for not going with the IP certification is to keep the cost under check. The phone will have dash charge support but will lack wireless charging as according to OnePlus it adds to the internal heat of the phone.

The OnePlus 6T is expected to feature a 6.4-inch display with a small waterdrop shaped notch at the top. Under the hood, the device will draw power from Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor along with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage. It will run Oxygen OS software based on Android 9 Pie and will be backed by a 3,700mAh.

In related news- OnePlus 6 can be purchased at a special festive price of Rs. 29,999 along with no cost EMI, exchange offer and free one time screen replacement worth Rs. 12,000. In addition, the SBI card users will get 10% instant discount.
