Oneplus 3 launched

When a smartphone is released in space (virtual space!), you know it is something special. With marketing schemes getting more and more elaborate, you’d assume that if a product has an extensive marketing strategy, the product may not be that good. Thankfully, OnePlus is not THAT sort of a brand. The Chinese brand launched its latest flagship, OnePlus 3 , in outer space using it’s very own virtual reality headset, The Loop, a couple of days back. For all those who missed it, here are some details about the new flagship on the block:

If you had been one of those users who were highly annoyed with the Sandstone texture & design of the previous OnePlus handsets, we have some good news. OnePlus 3 is the proud recipient of an aluminium alloy unibody, something that is reminiscent of the more exclusive class of smartphones like Apple and Samsung and if that wasn’t enough, its sleek metal body is yet another reminder of its Apple aspirations. We won’t complain on that front actually, as the OnePlus 3 does look quite appealing with its 7.3mm thickness.

Yes, it has the same display specs as its older siblings, but it’s not bad if the older ones were brilliant too, right? OnePlus 3 sports a 5.5” optic AMOLED display which means that your e-book reader has competition; the display makes sure that when you are out in the sun, reading your favourite thriller, you squint your eyes not because you find it difficult to read but due to your increased interest in the novel…this is what the optic AMOLED display means- better readability in the sun and other light settings. If you are big on watching films and going through pictures on your smartphone, then the OnePlus 3’s full HD resolution at 401ppi will leave you with a satisfying viewing experience. You also don’t have to worry about damaging your precious screen thanks to the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 that mightily protects the screen.

Keeping up to its promise of providing only the best to its consumers, OnePlus 3 incorporates the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset that is robust enough to run your social networking apps, a power-hungry game, and your messaging apps, at the same time, without lag. That’s not all when it comes to the OnePlus 3’s hardware; the device comes with 6GB of RAM, the most offered by any smartphone in the market today. Do we hear the multitaskers rejoicing out there? On the software front, the phone runs on the Oxygen OS 3.1.1, based on Android Marshmallow.

How many of us forget to charge our phones at night? Or simply forget to flick the charging switch on? If you do, then you will be pleased with the Dash Charge technology that the OnePlus 3 incorporates. When you use the adapter that comes along with the device, you can charge your phone to 60% in a quick 30 minutes. They mean it… you could order a pizza and put your phone to charge and see what promise is delivered quicker!

The flagship includes one of the fastest fingerprint sensors of the generation. This means that you have faster access to the 16MP primary camera that can take stunning 4k videos, or even the 8MP front camera for a quick selfie.

When OnePlus 3 offers such top-notch specs at such a competitive price of Rs.27, 999 (exclusively on Amazon), obviously nobody will ever “settle”!
