
Nubia X with Dual Display, Dual Fingerprint Scanner and Dual Camera Goes Official
ZTE’s sub-brand Nubia has launched its much-awaited flagship smartphone dubbed as Nubia X at an event held in China. The highlight of the device is that it features dual display, dual fingerprint scanner and dual camera set up. There is no front camera as the rear camera itself can be used for selfies due to the presence of secondary display on the back of the device. The secondary display can also be used as buttons while gaming by dividing the screen into two sensitive zones. For security purpose, there are two side mounted fingerprint scanners which makes it convenient for both right as well as left handed unlocking. The rear display can be unlocked using the left side fingerprint scanner while the primary display can be unlocked using the right side fingerprint scanner.
Nubia X Pricing Details:
The base model of Nubia X i.e. 6GB RAM + 64GB storage will come with a price tag of CNY 3299 (approx. Rs. 35,000) for the Black and Grey with Gold colour option. The Blue colour variant is priced at CNY 3,399 (approx. Rs. 36,000). The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant comes with a price tag of CNY 3699 (approx. Rs. 39,000) for the Black and Grey with Gold colour option, while the Blue colour variant is priced at CNY 3,799 (approx. Rs. 40,200). The top model i.e. 8GB RAM + 256GB storage is priced at CNY 4,199 (approx. Rs. 44,500) for the Black and Gold colour option, while the Blue colour option is priced at CNY 4,299 (approx. Rs. 45,500). The pre-order for the phone has already started and the sale will begin from next month i.e. November 5.
Nubia X Software and Hardware Configurations:
The Nubia X sports a 6.26-inch full-HD+ primary display with 1080×2280 pixel resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. The primary display comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 layer of protection. The secondary display is 5.1-inch HD+ with 720×1520 pixel screen resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. The secondary display also features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood, the phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC along with Adreno 630 GPU and 6GB or 8GB of RAM. There are two options in terms of inbuilt storage- 128GB and 256GB. The dual-SIM runs Nubia UI 6.0.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box. All of this is backed by a 3,800mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support for fast charging.
In the camera department you get a dual camera set up on the rear which comprises of 16-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, dual-tone LED flash + a 24-megapixel secondary sensor with f/1.7 aperture and dual-tone LED flash. As mentioned earlier, the front camera is missing as the rear camera used for clicking selfies using the secondary display.
