The Oppo N3 sports a 16 MP camera; rear or front doesn’t matter, as it is equipped with a swivel stepper motor that has been designed by Schneider Electric which can rotate 206 degrees! Now a simple tap on a button or swipe on the Touch access at the back will rotate the camera lens and your amazing 16 MP primary camera becomes your front camera! The motor driven swivel also gives the user the easiest way to take panorama shots. The lens has an f2/2 aperture and 1/2.3″ sensor. To improve the quality of the images, the phone is equipped with Oppo’s Pure Image 2.0 software technology. A great camera mode of the camera is the Super Zoom or UltraHD which combines multiple pictures to create a 64 MP picture. The dual LED flash incorporated in the phone helps in taking brilliant looking images even in low light. On the video front, the N3 is capable of taking 1080p video at 60 fps, and 720p slow motion video at 120fps.

Coming to the tech specs, the N3 is powered by a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB RAM. These specs ensure that the user can play graphics rich video games, or other content with ease and apps can switch without any lags. It has 32 Gb of internal storage with 25.15 GB available to users. More memory can be used added using the microSD card slot.

Usually, the display is the first thing that is mentioned about any Smartphone. However, with the camera that the N3 sports, it would be unjust to start with the display specs. The N3 has a 5.5” full-HD (1920x1080p) display resolution and three capacitive touch screen buttons.

The Oppo N3 runs on Color OS 2.0.1i, based on Android KitKat. With this OS there is no separate app launcher. The user can select from different themes and customize them further as per their choice. The 4G enabled phone is a good choice with 3G threatening to become obsolete. The 3,000mAh battery comes with VOOC fast-charging technology which means that a 30 minute charge will get the phone battery to 75%.

An accessory of great utility is the O-Click 2.0 Bluetooth remote that allows the user to control the camera, play music, and receive calls even while the phone is away.

All in all, the Oppo N3 seems like a phone built keeping in mind all the possible needs of the user. However, with a price tag of Rs.42990 it will remain to be seen whether the customers would wish to opt for a more premium brand or try their luck with this new brand.
