If you require to be at a certain place at a specific time and choosing a suitable commute option is simply a task, Google has just made travel more convenient. Recently, Google has integrated cab-hailing services like OlA and Uber with its mobile web browser. This new feature will allow commuters to make the most pocket-friendly choice with just a simple tap on their mobile.
Google the transport that suits you best
Now, even booking and fare comparison is also possible through Google Search. The new feature shows taxi amassment results when a customer types a search to a location, e.g., “Uber to Bombay Gymkhana.” This will redirect users to the Ola and Uber applications.
How It Works
With the help of this latest integration, you can not only ask Google for driving directions but also book cab rides directly through Google Search. If you reside in any of the major cities, then you will see a tab for ride services, (Ola and Uber) along with an estimated fare and pick-up time.
If you wish to book a taxi to IGI airport, simply type “Taxi to IGI Airport” or Uber/Ola to IGI Airport, the Google Search will direct you to select a service and automatically opens the app for a quick booking.
For those who do not have these applications, Google will provide a simple link to their respective app store.
Google Search Can Do Lot More Than Booking A Cab
Other than cab services, Google has also simplified food ordering and table booking services by adding Zomato, Dineout, and Swiggy directly to Google Search. Not only this, Google Search even allows you to vote for your favourite participant in popular reality shows, book flight tickets and show relevant flight status and timings, all from your mobile browser.
Apart from playing ‘Pac Man’ and ‘Atari Breakout,’ Google search comes in handy in providing simple solutions in most situations. With having Ola and Uber right on the results page, commuting has now become hassle free and time convenient.
