Nokia X71 with Punch-hold Display and 48MP Camera Launched

HMD Global has launched its first smartphone with punch-hole display dubbed as Nokia X71 in Taiwan. The phone was launched alongside the Nokia 9 PureView and touts a premium glass and metal design. It comes with good set of mid-range specifications such as 48MP triple rear camera set up, Snapdragon 660 chipset and 6GB of RAM. It is also the first smartphone from the Finnish manufacturer to come with a 48MP camera.

Nokia X71 Price

The Nokia X71 is priced in Taiwan at TWD 11,990 in Taiwan, which roughly translates to INR 26,900 for the lone 6GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage model and it will be available in single colour i.e. Black. The sale will begin from April 10.

Nokia X71 Features and Specifications

The Nokia X71 sports a 6.39-inch PureDisplay screen with a FHD+ resolution and 19.3:9 aspect ratio resulting into a 93 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The display comes with a punch-hole selfie camera that is situated on the top left corner. It runs Google’s latest Android 9.0 Pie operating system out of the box and packs a 3,500mAh battery with 18W fast charging. Under the hood, the device draws power from Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC paired with 6GB RAM. The internal storage capacity of the device is 128GB, which can be expanded further up to 256GB using a microSD card.

In terms of camera, the phone comes equipped with a vertically stacked Zeiss-branded triple camera set up on the back which is centrally placed and consists of a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture + a 5-megapixel depth of field sensor with an f/2.4 aperture + an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle sensor. For selfies and video calls, there’s a 16-megapixel sensor on the front with an f/2.0 aperture.

The dimensions of the phone are 157.19×76.45×7.98 mm, and it weighs about 180 grams. In terms of connectivity, the Nokia X71 features Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS + GLONASS + Beidou, USB Type-C, USB OTG, and 3.5mm audio jack.

The company has not yet revealed its plan to launch the Nokia X71 outside of Taiwan. We expect it to launch the same soon but under a different moniker- Nokia 6.2 or Nokia 8.1 Plus. Stay tuned to us as we’ll get you all the latest updates regarding this phone.
