HMD Global, the company that licenses the Nokia-brand, is reported to have been working on the launch of all new Nokia X in China on April 27. Some people have come across a digital advertisement in China that teases the ‘X’ logo with two sleek smartphones crossing each other, and the launch date mentioned below along with the name ‘Nokia X’. The teasers were spotted and captured by ITHome.

The digital ad doesn’t reveal any specification or design element. It is also unknown if the phone will be launched globally or be restricted only to China & some of the other Asian markets. HMD Global recently announced Nokia 1, Nokia (2018), Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 8 Sirocco smartphones but there was no announcement or teaser by the company. There haven’t even been any leaks/rumours about the device so far. So, this may not be a flagship device and just be another mid-range smartphone. Another possibility being speculated is that HMD could be planning to take on iPhone X and the Nokia X may be a high-end phone. However, we believe otherwise.

HMD is known to bring back old Nokia phones in the market in new avatar- just like it did with Nokia 3310 and Nokia 8810. The Nokia X was launched by Nokia as its first Android phone but it wasn’t a successful one. Now, HMD Global seems to be testing the market once again with a revamped version of Nokia X.

Our advice is to take this info with a pinch of salt and stay tuned for some concrete news which can be expected just a few days prior to the official launch on April 27.
