As IFA 2019 is fast approaching, smartphone maker HMD Global has announced a bunch of products under its Nokia brand. The Nokia Power Earbud will be launched at IFA 2019. The truly wireless earphones will come with top class battery life of up to 150 hours on a single charge. This is possible due to the 3,000mAh charging case of the headset. The earphones will be priced at EUR 79, which approximately converts to Rs. 6,300. The earphones will go on sale from October onwards.

The Nokia Power Earbuds is similar in features to the Nokia True Wireless Earbuds which were launched earlier this year. However, it comes with a significant improvement in the battery department with a 3,000mAh battery. As per the company’s claims, the charging case would be able to top up the 50mAh batteries on the earbuds 30 times over. In addition to this, the earbuds themselves are equipped with a battery life of up to 5 hours. This gives the Power Earbuds a combined battery life of up to 150 hours per charge cycle.

Charging the Power Earbuds is very easy. Users can simply place them in the charging case and the case, in turn, can be charged through its USB Type-C port. The controls on the Nokia Power Earbuds are touch-enabled. The earbuds come with three pairs of ear tips. These ear tips are shipped along with the Power earbuds. The earphones enable users to give hands-free voice commands using the voice assistant on their smartphone.

The Nokia Power Earbuds sports Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity. The earbuds are IPX7 rated for water resistance. This enables the users to swim to a depth of up to 1 meter with the earbuds on. The earbuds can withstand this for up to 30 minutes without getting damaged.  The earphones are powered by 6mm graphene drivers. They are offered in two colour options namely Charcoal Black, and Light Grey.

The company has not released any official communication about the launch of the Power Earbuds in India. The earphone could be priced like the Nokia True Wireless Earbuds whenever they launch in India. The cost would be in the range of around INR 10,000. It will compete with a wide range of truly wireless earphones that is available in the Indian market in all price ranges. However, the Nokia Power Earbuds will enjoy a significant competitive advantage due to its claimed USP of up to 150 hours of battery life per charge cycle.
