Finnish handset giant Nokia announced the availability of two new devices, Lumia 525 and Lumia 1320, in India from January 2014. Nokia made the announcement at an official event held in Goa on 20th December. Company mentioned that both devices will hit the shelves in first half of January’14.
“2013 has been a good year for Lumia in India. We have launched nine Lumia devices this year and with these two new devices, we are confident that more people will switch to Lumia,” said Vipul Mehrotra, Middle East and Africa Director (Smart Devices), Nokia India.
The Lumia 525, successor to Nokia’s popular Lumia 520, will go on sale from first week of January. It was launched in last week of November but no details were revealed about its availability then. The device sports a 4-inch WVGA display (480*800p) and is powered by 1GHz Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor. There’s 1GB RAM and 8GB built-in storage which can be expanded by microSD card. Other features include 5MP rear camera capable of recording HD videos at 720p, 3G support, Bluetooth connectivity, 1430mAh battery capacity and more. It runs on Windows Phone 8 with Lumia Black update.
The Lumia 1320 (Nokia’s 2nd phablet) sports a 6-inch HD LCD IPS display with 1280*720p resolution and runs on Windows Phone 8 operating system. It is powered by 1.7 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor along with 1GB RAM. There’s 8GB internal storage expandable up to 64GB by microSD card. It features a 5MP rear snapper and a VGA front facing snapper. All of this is packed with a massive 3400mAh battery capacity.
There are no details available regarding the pricing of both the devices.
