Nokia To Make A Comeback With The Two Variants Of D1Cby Sayli Jadhav December 1, 2016
There was a time when Nokia had a monopoly in the cell phone market, but the advancement in technology and development of the Android OS brought Nokia down. Ever since the smartphone generation took over, Nokia has been trying to make space for itself, with its collaboration with Microsoft for their OS or Lumia. However; Nokia could never get back in the game.
To change things around, Nokia is rumoured to be coming up with an Android smartphone. The Mobile World Congress 2017 may witness the launch of the D1C. If the rumours are true, we may be able to get our hands on not just one, but two different variants of this phone, each with a different display, RAM and camera. HMD Global, the licensed manufacturer for Nokia, confirmed the presence of this product at the MWC 2017. This will probably make all the Pre-smart phone era techies feel nostalgic. Imagine being able to buy Nokia mobile online again!
Nokia’s launch of a new smartphone or even the rumours of this product has got everyone excited. It took the internet community by storm, and there has been a buzz ever since. To compete with every other smartphone in the world, the Nokia D1C is expected to be packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor at a 1.4 GHz Clock speed with Adreno 505 GPU. The possible variants will have 2 GB and 3 GB RAM. Nokia is planning to make a comeback with the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS. The Nougat was released in August this year. However, most smartphones launched still use the older Marshmallow version. This could give Nokia an edge over the others.
The two variants of this device will come with a 5 inch and a 5.5-inch screen with Full HD Display. The internal memory capacity on both these variants will most likely be 16 GB with a 13 Megapixel rear camera on one and a 16 MP one on the other. The front camera for both the phones is expected to be the usual 8 MP, but it will make up for some amazing pictures, wouldn’t it?
The display is protected by a Gorilla Glass 3 and is fully laminated with zero air gaps. Some of the leaked images show a metal back piece with a camera and fingerprint scanner cut out. The D1C is most likely to be available in 3 colour variants including Black/ Grey, Silver and Gold. To know absolutely for sure, we will all have to wait for its launch at the MWC 2017 which is scheduled to begin on 27th February.
Another one of their product that is making news is the Nokia Pixel. This one is creating a buzz for its 2K display. The Nokia Pixel comes with a 2K Quad HD Display and a Carl Zeiss Camera, just like previous phones by Nokia. That probably got your mind to imagine all the beautiful pictures you could capture with this one! With the Nokia Pixel and the D1C, Nokia is definitely going to be back with a bang in the New Year.
