With Companies like Samsung, Apple and HTC holding on tight to the smart phone market, it seemed like it was the end of the road for Nokia. While Android and iOS turned out to be the favourites, Symbian was just like another kid trying to make it big. However, that wasn’t the end though. Of course, the days of glory for Nokia seem to be quite far away at least for now, but the way the company is battling it out with the biggies is highly appreciated. The brand new Nokia Lumia 710 turns out to be a perfect example. But, is the gadget capable enough to help Nokia bounce back in the race? Let us check it out.

Unlike most of the mainstream Symbian smart phones, the Lumia 710 runs on the Windows Phone 7.5 operating system. The phone is powered by a 1.4 GHz Processor with a clock speed of 1400 MHz. However, with a 3.7-inch TFT LCD touchscreen and a 5 megapixel camera, Nokia has tried to keep things quite simple. The camera allows you to record high definition videos with a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution.

With an 8 GB of internal storage, you will obviously not ask for more. Finally, it is the battery that’s bound to make you happy. The handset is powered by a 1300 mAh Li-Ion battery offering a maximum talk time of 7 hours for 3G and 6 hours for 2G. What else? A music playback of up to 38 hours!! Isn’t that amazing?

Let us talk about the looks now. With a sleek and a well-groomed design, it seems like Nokia really tried hard to come up with something much innovative and appealing compared to its predecessors. Moreover, Lumia 710 also has a scratch-resistant Gorilla glass display. As usual, you can find the volume rockers and the camera key situated at the right. Moreover, the USB port, audio connector and the power button are all neatly placed at the top of the handset. In terms of design, an 8 on 10 would be a genuine rating. Of course, not the most ground-breaking design, but surely deserves your attention.

With all of that tech talk, do we assume Lumia 710 to be the best smart phone Nokia has ever come up with? Well, too early to comment, but it seems like Nokia is all set to battle it out with the big guys. If you are planning to make a switch from your old Symbian phone to something much faster and stylish, the Lumia 710 is without a doubt the right choice. Log on to to find the best deal on the same. At around Rs. 14099, you will probably not want to miss out on something so special.
