After the recently launched flagship Nokia 8, it didn’t take an expert to guess the next handset. The Nokia 9 has been keeping the rumour mills busy for a long time. Its existed was confirmed by the Geekbench information, followed by some renders by Waqar Khan.
Going by the images, the Nokia 9 is said to sport an all-glass back with a vertically stacked dual-lens 13 MP camera. It comes renowned Carl-Zeiss optics with laser autofocus and PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus) coupled with OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation). Positioned below the dual cameras is the fingerprint sensor. The phone may come with wireless charging tech. It might also be the first Nokia smartphone to get IP68 dust and water-resistant body.
The Nokia 9 follows the bezel-less trend. This should make it more compact compared the Nokia 8. The 5.5-inch display is said to be an AMOLED one with 2560 x 1440 resolution with 534 ppi (Pixels Per Inch). The display and the rear glass panel are protected by Corning’s latest Gorilla Glass 5. Being an AMOLED display it may feature the Always-on display mode for a quick time, date info, and notifications.
Under the hood is the mighty Snapdragon 835 clocked at 2.5 GHz. It could come with 4 GB and 6 GB RAM variants. Other notable features are OZO audio, stereo speakers, USB Type-C, and Quick Charge 3.0 support. The Nokia will come in a copper hue seen in the renders. Don’t get all too excited yet though as the leakster hasn’t got a great track record like that of @evleaks or @OnLeaks.
