HMD has slapped a price tag to its flagship Android device, the Nokia 8. The phone is priced at Rs 36,999, and will go on sale from October 14. The Nokia 8 will be available via both online and conventional stores.
The phone features a single block aluminium design. It comes with a splash and dust resistant body. It is not waterproof though. The Nokia 8 sports a 5.3-inch Quad HD IPS display. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835. it even employs internal water-cooled copper coil to cool the chipset. The Nokia comes in 4 GB RAM+ 64 GB storage and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage options.
In the photography department, you get 13 MP dual-lens camera. It uses optics from renowned German brand Zeiss. For better low-light results and stabilised videos, the Nokia 8 is equipped with OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation).
HMD has also thrown in a 13 MP shooter for selfie-aficionados. The highlight of this device is a badly-named ‘bothie’ function. It activates both the rear and front-facing cameras at the same time to snap pictures or shoot a video. A perfect gimmick for YouTube and Facebook content creators. The phone also captures Spatial 360 audio making use of the 3 mics on the device.
