HMD Global has launched its latest premium Nokia 8.1 smartphone in India. The phone was announced in Dubai last week and now the company has launched it in India replacing the Nokia 7 Plus. The highlights of the device are its PureDisplay screen and a new Snapdragon 710 chipset.

The Nokia 8.1 price in India is set at Rs. 26,999 for the lone 4GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage. The pre-order for the phone has already started and the sale will begin from December 25 via Amazon.in, Nokia.com and select offline stores like Big C, Croma, Reliance Digital, Sangeetha etc. As part of the launch offers, the company is giving six-month free screen replacement with Servify and 10 percent cashback for HDFC bank users. In addition, the company is offering up to 1TB of 4G data for Airtel prepaid subscribers on eligible plans starting from Rs. 199, up to 120GB of additional data for Airtel postpaid subscribers on eligible plans starting Rs. 499 alongside a 3-month Netflix subscription and a 1-year Amazon Prime subscription.

Nokia 8.1 Features and Specifications
The Nokia 8.1 sports two-tone design and is built out of 6000-Series aluminium that has diamond cut edges. It flaunts 6.18-inch notched display with a FHD+ (2246×1080) resolution and 18.7:9 aspect ratio. As mentioned earlier, it gets PureDisplay screen technology that was first introduced by the company with the Nokia 7.1. Powering the device is a 2.2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 710 chipset along with 4GB of RAM. The internal storage capacity of the phone is 64GB, but it is expandable up to 400GB via microSD card. The dual-SIM phone will be shipped with stock Android 9 Pie operating system out of the box and is part of Google’s Android One programme which means it will get timely latest security and firmware upgrades from Google.
