As reported earlier, HMD Global (company that owns the rights to market Nokia products) is all set to launch next generation of Nokia smartphones at an event in New Delhi on April 4. The company has also rolled out media invites for the event, but it has not revealed the names of the products. And now the saga of teasers has started.

Ajey Mehta, who is the vice president of HMD Global Oy, has teased a new smartphone on his Twitter handle yesterday just before announcing company’s new sponsorship deal with Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket side Kolkata Knight Riders. Though the name of the device is not revealed, it seems to be Nokia 7 Plus.

The teaser image features a smartphone with ZEISS-made dual-camera setup along with LED flash placed on the right side and a fingerprint sensor placed just below. It sports a copper and black color combination. Nokia 7 Plus  made its debut in February 2018 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in Barcelona, Spain. There were two other devices announced along with Nokia 7 Plus- Nokia 8 Sirocco Edition and Nokia 6 (2018). The Nokia 8 Sirocco Edition is also expected to be launched in India on April 4 whereas the Nokia 6 (2018) is expected to be launched later on in May 2018.

Nokia 7 Plus Specifications:

Nokia 7 Pus features a 6-inch full HD+ full view display without bezels with resolution of 2160 X 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. It sports a 2.5D curved glass cover with Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. Under the hood, there’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be further expanded via micro-SD card.

In terms of optics, there will be a ZEISS-branded dual rear camera setup (12MP + 13MP) along with a dual tone LED flash. The front hosts a 16MP camera for selfies and video calling. The device supports OZO Audio which allows for 360-degree audio recording and Bothie. It also supports face unlock feature and runs Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.
