Nokia 7.1 LaunchedHMD Global has launched its latest offering in the form of Nokia 7.1 at an even held in London. The phone is successor to Nokia 7 that was launched last year by the company. The highlights of the device are inclusion of Zeiss-branded dual cameras on the back and the fact that it is the first Nokia phone to get a PureDisplay screen technology.

Nokia 7.1 Price and Availability:

The Nokia 7.1 price ranges from EUR 299 (approx. Rs. 24,400) to EUR 349 (approx. Rs. 29,500), depending on the market. As of now the phone is launched for the European market only but it is expected to hit the other markets soon. The pre-order in Europe has already started and the shipping will begin shipping will begin from next week. In India, the device could be launched at an upcoming event by HMD Global on October 11.

The phone will come in two colour options- Gloss Midnight Blue and Gloss Steel.

Nokia 7.1 Software and Hardware Configurations:

The Nokia 7.1 is part of Android Enterprise Recommended range, which means that it will get monthly security updates within 90 days of release and for a minimum of three years. The device runs Android Oreo operating system out of the box based on the Android One, so it will be updated to Android 9 Pie via an update in November.

The phone sports a 5.84-inch full-HD+ PureDisplay panel with 1080×2280 pixel resolution and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The display comes with iPhone X like notch at the top and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 layer of protection. Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC along with 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of onboard storage. All of this is backed by a 3,060mAh non-removable battery with 18W fast charging support.

For the camera buffs, there’s a vertically stacked dual rear camera module that comprises of a 12-megapixel primary sensor with autofocus and f/1.8 aperture + a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with fixed focus and f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, there’s an 8-megapixel fixed focus sensor with f/2.0 aperture.

In terms of dimensions, the phone measures 149.7×71.19×7.99 mm and weighs about 159 grams. For security purpose, the phone features a rear mounted fingerprint scanner.
