HMD Global has announced as much as five new phones at the ongoing Mobile World Congress (MWC 2019) event at Barcelona, Spain. Nokia 9 PureView, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 4.2 and Nokia 1 Plus are smartphones, while the Nokia 210 is aimed at feature phone market. HMD Global claimed that Nokia is now the world’s largest feature phone manufacturer and the announcement of Nokia 210 is another step in strengthening its position. The highlight of course is the Nokia 9 Pureview with penta Zeiss lens camera system.

Nokia 9 PureView Price, Features and Specifications

Nokia 9 PureViewThe Nokia 9 PureView is has five rear cameras, making it the first in the world to feature the same. HMD has partnered with Zeiss for its new penta-camera setup, two of these are monochrome lenses. The camera set up consists of five 12-megapixel sensors out of which three are monochromatic lenses and two are RGB sensors. The company claims that Nokia 9 PureView has higher dynamic range and depth of field control than most other phones. The front gets a 20-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

In terms of specs, the Nokia 9 PureView features a 5.99-inch QHD display with HDR support. The screen comes with a layer of Gorilla Glass 5 on top for protection against scratches and features an in-display fingerprint sensor for security purpose. It is also IP67 certified for resistance against water and dust. The device draws power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor along with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It runs on Google’s latest Android 9.0 Pie OS out of the box and is backed by 3,320mAh capacity battery with Qi wireless charging support. For connectivity purpose, the phone gets 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, AGPS, GLONASS, NFC and USB Type-C port. In terms of dimensions, it measures 155 x 75 x 8 mm and weighs in at 172 grams.

Nokia 4.2 Price, Features and Specifications

Nokia 4.2The Nokia 4.2 come with 5.71-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels and 270 ppi pixel density. The display features a teardrop notch at the top to house the selfie camera. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC and is backed by a 3,000mAh battery. In terms of memory, there are two variants- 2GB RAM + 16GB inbuilt storage and 3GB RAM + 32GBinbuilt storage. The storage can be further expanded up to 400GB via microSD card slot. The device runs Google’s latest Android 9.0 Pie operating system out of the box and comes with 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, GLONASS, FM Radio, Google Assistant button and USB Type-C port as connectivity options. In terms of camera, there’s a vertically aligned dual camera set up on the back which is centrally placed and comprises of a 13-megapixel primary lens with f/2.2 aperture + a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The front hosts an 8-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calls. In terms of dimensions, the Nokia 4.2 measures 148.95 x 71.30 x 8.39 mm and weighs about 161 grams. For security purpose, the phone comes equipped with Face Unlock as well as a rear mounted Fingerprint sensor.

The Nokia 4.2 will come with a price tag of $169 i.e. approximately Rs. 12,100 will start shipping in April 2019.

Nokia 3.2 Price, Features and Specifications

The Nokia 3.2 bears 6.26-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution 1520 x 720 pixels and 269 ppi pixel density. The display features a dewdrop notch at the top. Under the hood, the phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 429 processor along with 2GB or 3GB of RAM. There are two options in terms of internal storage- 16GB and 32GB.

In the camera department, you get a single 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and AI camera modes for better low-light performance. While the front gets a single 5-megapixel camera for selfies. The phone runs on Android 9.0 Pie operating system and is fueled by a 4,000mAh battery. It is also a part of Android One and supports three years of security updates. In terms of security, the phone Face Unlock as well as fingerprint unlock. The phone will start shipping in April 2019 with a price tag of $139 which roughly translates to Rs. 10,000.

Nokia 1 Plus Price, Features and Specifications

Nokia 1 Plus is the most affordable of the four smartphones launched and is a larger-sized version of the Nokia 1 Android Go phone that was announced at the MWC 2018. It features a 5.45-inch FWVGA+ IPS LCD screen with 18:9 aspect ratio, 480 x 960 pixel screen resolution and 197ppi pixel density. The phone draws power from MediaTek MT6739WW processor along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. For more storage, there is a microSD card slot. In terms of optics, the device gets an autofocus and LED flash enabled 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The battery capacity of the device is 2,500mAh. In terms of software, it runs Android 9 Pie (Go edition) out of the box.

In terms of pricing, the Nokia 1 Plus is priced at $89 (roughly Rs. 7,100) and it will be available in three colour options- Black, Red and Blue. The availability dates of the phone are not yet revealed.

Nokia 210 Nokia 210 price specifications

Nokia 210As mentioned earlier, the Nokia 210 is an affordable feature phone with candy bar design and Internet support. It features a basic 2.4-inch QVGA display with a numpad below. A VGA camera with LED flash resides on the backside of the phone. It is based on the S30+ operating system with support for Mobile Store for downloading apps and claims to have 30-day battery life. The phone has Opera Mini for Web browsing and comes loaded with apps like Facebook and Classic Snake game. It will be available from next week at $35 (approx. Rs. 2,500) and will come in three colour options- Black, Grey and Red.
