Lenovo has announced a series of new laptops under its ThinkPad and IdeaPad series close to the MWC 2019. The new models under the ThinkPad T series are the T490s, T490 and T590. Their prices start at $1,279 (which is roughly Rs. 90,900), $999 (which converts to around Rs. 70,900) and $1,029 (which converts to around Rs. 73,000) respectively. The company has made two new additions to its X series as well with the X390 and X390 Yoga. The laptops are priced at $1,099 (which converts to around Rs. 78,000) and $1,359 (which roughly converts to Rs. 96,500) respectively. All the new laptops that have been launched will be available from May 2019 onwards.

The company has updated its IdeaPad series with the C340 2-in-1 laptop. The new laptop will be available with processor options of both Intel and AMD. It will be available for sale in March at a starting price of EUR 599 (which roughly converts to Rs. 48,200) for both the variants. Lenovo has also announced the S540 and a S340, with Intel and AMD options for each. These models will be available from March-April onwards. The models will come at a starting price of EUR 799 (which roughly converts to around Rs. 64,400) for the IdeaPad S540 and EUR 549 (which converts to around Rs. 44,300) for the IdeaPad S340.

The ThinkPad T and X series features completely new designs and have many features in common. These features include the PrivacyGuard, which is a physical shutter for the webcam, a new BIOS with “self-healing” capabilities, Intel Wi-Fi 6 Gig+ on the T490s, X390, and X390 Yoga, HDR display with Dolby Vision on all the T series models and the latest Intel 8th gen CPUs. The ThinkPad X390 is equipped with a 13.3-inch full-HD display in the same compact body. It is powered by an Intel Core i7 vPro CPU, coupled with up to 32GB of RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe SSD storage. As per the company, the battery life of the X390 can go up to 18 hours.

Lenovo’s new IdeaPad S540 will come in two variants namely 14-inch and 15-inch. It will come with a slim design and long battery life. As for its specifications, it will be powered by an 8th gen Intel Core i7 CPU with an optional Nvidia GeForce MX250 graphics card and an optional full-HD IPS display. The device will come with an AMD option of a Ryzen 7 3700U CPU with in-built Radeon RX10 Vega graphics. It will offer up to 12 hours of battery life with RapidCharge tech. Due to this technology, the device can offer two hours of usage for a charge of just 15 minutes. The laptop will be available in three colours and will also be equipped with a Dolby speaker system, and TrueBlock privacy shutter for the webcam.

The IdeaPad S340 will also be available in multiple colours and in a 14-inch and 15-inch variant. This ultra-slim laptop has up to 8th gen Intel Core i7-8565U CPU with up to a GeForce MX250 GPU or the similar AMD option as the S540. The IdeaPad C340 also packs in Amazon Alexa out-of-the-box. And lastly, the IdeaPad C340 is a 2-in-1 convertible laptop that offers up to 8 hours of battery life with RapidCharge and Active Pen support. It will also be available in 14-inch and 15-inch models.
