Alcatel 3 (2019), Alcatel 3L, and Alcatel 1S smartphones have been launched by TCL Communications, the brand licensee of the Alcatel smartphones, just ahead of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 in Barcelona. The three models of the Alcatel smartphone will feature FullView Display panels. They will all come with a notch cut-out as well. The screen to body ratio of these smartphones will be an impressive 88 percent. The smartphones will be powered by an artificial intelligence backed AI Imaging Scene Detection mode.

The Alcatel 3 (2019), Alcatel 3L, and Alcatel 1S will come equipped with the Google Lens integration as well as AR emojis. The company has also provided a Face Key feature. This will enable the company to offer facial recognition on all the three new phones. In addition to the smartphones, TCL communication, has also introduced the new Alcatel 3T 10 tablet.

Alcatel 3 (2019), Alcatel 3L, and Alcatel 1S price

The Alcatel 3 (2019) comes with a price tag of EUR 159 which roughly converts to Rs. 12,800. This cost is for its 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant. The 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage model is priced at EUR 189 which converts to around Rs. 15,200. As for its colour options, the smartphone is available in Gradient Black Blue and Gradient Blue Purple colour.

The Alcatel 3L will be available at a starting price of EUR 139 which converts to around Rs. 11,175. The smartphone is offered in two colour options namely Anthracite Black and Metallic Blue.

The Alcatel 1S is the cheapest option of all and comes at a starting price of EUR 109, which roughly converts to around Rs. 8,800. It comes in colour variants namely Black, Blue, Gold, and Rose.

The Alcatel 3 (2019), Alcatel 3L, and Alcatel 1S will be available for sale in the global markets beginning from the second quarter of this year. This was announced by the company in a pre-MWC 2019 press release.

Alcatel 3 (2019), Alcatel 3L, Alcatel 1S specifications, features

The dual-SIM (Nano) Alcatel 3 (2019) is powered by the Android 8.1 Oreo. The smartphone comes with a 5.9-inch HD+ (720×1560 pixels) Super FullView Display panel. The aspect ratio of the screen is 19.5:9. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC which is coupled with 3GB of RAM.

The Alcatel 3 (2019) sports a dual rear camera setup. It comprises a 13-megapixel primary sensor which is interpolated to 16-megapixel along with an f/2.0 lens and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor along with an f/2.4 lens. As for its front camera, it comes with an 8-megapixel fixed focus camera (interpolated to 13-megapixel) at the front along with an f/2.0 lens.

The Alcatel 3(2019) is built to identify up to 21 different scenarios to offer the optimum settings. This is possible due to its pre-installed AI Imaging Scene Detection capabilities. The smartphone also comes with a Google Lens integration. The front camera also offers a Face Key feature to enable face unlocking. The smartphone enables users to create AR emojis.

Alcatel comes with 32GB and 64GB of internal storage options that both are expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. As for its connectivity options, the Alcatel 3 (2019) can connect seamlessly over 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The sensors on the smartphone include an accelerometer, ambient light, fingerprint sensor, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor. The smartphone is powered by a battery of capacity 3,500mAh. The battery can deliver up to 18 hours of talk time or 900 hours of standby time on a single full charge.

The Alcatel 3L is identical to the Alcatel 3 (2019). However, it comes powered with a Snapdragon 429 SoC which comes coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage.

Alcatel 1S

 

The Alcatel 1S runs Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box. It comes with a 5.5-inch HD+ FullView Display. The display comes with a resolution of 720×1440 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The phone is powered by an octa-core Unisoc Spreadtrum SC9863A SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM.

As for photos and videos, the Alcatel 1S comes with a dual rear camera setup. The 13-megapixel primary sensor (interpolated to 16-megapixel) along with an f/2.0 lens and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor along with an f/2.8 lens accentuate the setup in the rear. It also includes a 5-megapixel sensor (interpolated to 8-megapixel) along with an f/2.2 lens.

It comes with an onboard storage capacity of 32GB which is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. As for its connectivity, the smartphone offers seamless connectivity across 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone has an array of sensors, including an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and a proximity sensor. The smartphone is equipped with a 3,060mAh battery which is rated to deliver up to 24 hours of talk time or 600 hours of standby time on a 4G network.
