Motorola is finally back with an affordable device named Moto G for Indian market. The 8GB variant of the budget smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs. 12,499 whereas the 16GB variant will come for Rs. 13,999. Initially the Moto G is available exclusively at the online megastore Flipkart, where both the variants were sold out within minutes of launch. But they were back in stock later on.

The Moto G comes with a 4.5″ edge-to-edge HD LCD display (720x1280p resolution) along with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for added protection. The dual-SIM phone is powered by 1.2GHz Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and 1GB RAM. It hosts a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 1.3MP front camera. The device runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS out-of-the-box (with an option to upgrade to 4.4.2 KitKat) and packs a 2070mAh battery. As mentioned, the phone comes in two memory variants- 8GB and 16GB, but there is no microSD slot for memory expansion. The connectivity features include- WiFi, 3G and Bluetooth 4.0.
