Motorola P40, the successor to the P30, has been leaked. It is expected to hit the market with a punch-hole front shooter camera and will feature very thin bezels. The smartphone is a part of the p-series. The design of the smartphone has been leaked before and now the specifications of the device have been out in the open. A USP feature that the smartphone will sport is its 48-megapixel primary rear shooter. The secondary rear sensor will be a 5-megapixel sensor.

The leak was done by Twitter user Andri Yatim who suggests that the P40 will run Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. The smartphone will come with a 6.2-inch full HD+ IPS display. The smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC. It will be available in variants such as 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB.

The Motorola P40’s massive 48-megapixel sensor is a Sony IMX586 sensor. The selfie camera of the smartphone is a 12-megapixel sensor with AI assist. The smartphone will be powered by a 4,132mAh battery. The P40 will come with support for Near Field Communication (NFC).

The Motorola P40 comes with a reflective panel made of Corning Gorilla Glass 3/4 to keep the phone affordable. The smartphone is equipped with a fingerprint sensor. The Motorola logo at the back is the fingerprint sensor. Motorola may also incorporate the Face Unlock feature in biometric security. The rear panel comes with the Android One logo to convey that P40 is affordable and will get software and security updates all the time.

The Motorola P40 will feature a dual-SIM setup and the tray will be placed on the left.  The power and volume buttons are on the right. On the bottom of the smartphone, a USB Type-C port, microphone, and a speaker grille can be seen. On the top bezel, the P40 will get the 3.5mm headphone jack.
