The US-based tech giant has launched the all-new Motorola Edge 30 in the Indian market. The device will be next in line with the Pro variant that was launched in February earlier this year. The Lenovo subsidiary is trying to capture the mid-range segment of the Indian smartphone market.

Digging a bit deeper, the all-new Moto Edge 30 boasts to be the thinnest among all the 5G smartphones available in the market. The device will directly compete with OPPO Reno 7 5G, iQOO 9 SE, Realme GT 2, etc. Let’s dive in to find more about the smartphone.

Motorola Edge 30: Key specs & features

The latest addition to the Moto lineup, Motorola Edge 30 will come with a 6.5” panel that sports 10-bit pOLED technology. The display will come with a punch hole cutout that will house a selfie snapper. It will produce FHD+ resolution along with HDR+ support. Along with the 144Hz refresh rate, the Motorola Edge 30 will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner.

On the rear, the device features a triple-camera system that is given the design of a pill. The smartphone comes with Dolby Atmos powered stereo speaker setup. The optical setup on the Moto Edge 30 will have the primary sensor of 50-megapixel paired with a 50MP ultra wide lens that will come with dual functionality of macro lens. The housing will also carry a 2MP depth sensor. The punch hole cutout will be the home to a 32-megapixel front facing camera. The optical module comes with HDR, OIS, 4K recording, and more.

At its core, the all-new Motorola Edge 30 will feature a Qualcomm SD 778G+ chipset paired with up to 8 gigs of LPDDR5 memory. The onboard storage on all the variants will be 128GB. The 4,020 mAh battery on the smartphone will get 33W charging support and the device will boot with Android 12 out of the box. The software experience will be a stock one. Lenovo promises to offer software updates for the next 2 years. Users will also get to use ThinkShield security technology developed by the brand.

A few connectivity features that are offered here are Wi-Fi 6E, 5G (13 bands), 4G VoLTE, USB Type-C, GPS, and Bluetooth. The company also claims to offer monthly security updates up to 3 years.

Pricing and availability

Motorola Edge 30 will be available in two color options; Aurora Green and Meteor Gray. With the same onboard storage of 128GB, the all-new Moto will come in two memory options. The 6GB RAM variant will carry a price tag of ₹27,999 whereas the 8GB model will be priced at ₹29,999. The official retail partner is Flipkart and the first sale will commence on May 19. Buyers can also find it on Reliance Digital and other major retailers across the country.
