Lenovo owned company, Motorola has officially announced the new G series smartphone the Moto G8. The brand had previously launched the G8 Plus and G8 play in October 2019. The brand had also launched the G Power and G Stylus last month. This Moto G8 is being launched as the successor to the G7 smartphone. The G8 comes packed with new features and specifications.

Moto G8 Specifications and Features

The Moto G8 comes with a 6.4-inch HD+ Max Vision display. However, this seems to be a step down from the Moto G7 smartphone. There is a punch-hole cutout on the top left corner on the display. The bottom of the phone has the speaker and the C-type USB port. Moto G8 has a fingerprint sensor on the Moto logo on the back of the phone. The top of the phone features a 3.5mm headphone jack.

 

Under the hood, the smartphone runs on the snapdragon 665 processor along with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 512 GB. The smartphone draws its power from a 4000mAh battery that supports 10W standard charging. The phone runs on the latest Android 10.

 

Moto G8 is fitted with a triple camera having a 16-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The smartphone also features an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The smartphone is capable of recording videos in 4k at 30 frames per second.

 

Moto G8 Pricing and availability 

The Moto G8 is available in two color variants- Capri Blue and White Prism. The phone is currently available for purchase in Brazil at BRL. 1143 which is approximately Rs.18,100. In the United Kingdom, the phone will be available for purchase on Amazon, Argos and John Lewis for £180 which is approximately Rs. 17,150. The brand has announced the phone will be launched in Latin America, Europe, Australia, and Asia.
