Moto G7 Series Pricing Details
The new Moto G7 range gets a starting price tag of $200 which is roughly Rs. 14,250. This is for the base variant i.e. Moto G7 Play. The Moto G7 Plus is the most expensive of the four devices and comes with a price tag of EUR300 i.e. roughly Rs. 24,500, while the Moto G7 Play bears a price tag of $300 which is roughly Rs. 21,400. The G7 Power will retail at $249 which roughly translates to Rs. 17,800.
All four phones are first going on sale in Brazil and Mexico starting today. The company has not shared India-specific release schedule but the G7 series will hit the other global markets including India in the coming weeks.
Moto G7 Series Features and Specifications
The Moto G7 sports a 6.24-inch full-HD+ Max Vision display with 1080×2270 pixel screen resolution. Under the hood, the device is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC clocked at 1.8GHz. In terms of memory, the phone features 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 128GB by means of a microSD card. The dual-SIM phone packs 3,000mAh capacity battery and runs Google’s latest Android 9 Pie operating system out of the box, just like the other three devices in the series.
In terms of optics, the Moto G7 features a dual camera module on the back which comprises of a 12-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture + a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. There is an 8-megapixel sensor on the front with an f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calls.
The Moto G7 Power gets a 6.2-inch display with HD+ (720×1520 pixels) resolution. It draws power from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 632 SoC clocked at 1.8GHz along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. The highlight of the device is its massive 5,000mAh capacity battery which can last up to 55 hours on a single charge as claimed by the company. The battery also gets support of 15W TurboCharger. Things are simple in the imaging department, wherein you get a 12-megapixel single rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and an 8-megapixel snapper on the front with an f/2.2 aperture.
The Moto G7 Plus flaunts a 6.24-inch full-HD+ (1080×2270 pixels) Max Vision display. There’s a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 SoC underneath to keep things ticking along with 4GB of RAM. The inbuilt storage capacity of the device is 64GB which is further expandable up to 512GB via microSD card. For the camera buffs, there’s a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 16-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.7 + a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. It is the first smartphone in the Moto G series to feature Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). The front hosts a 12-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calls. All of this is fueled by a 3,000mAh battery.
Moto G7 Play is the cheapest of all four phones and is equipped with a 5.7-inch Max Vision screen with HD+ resolution of 720×1512 pixels. It features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 632 SoC, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of inbuilt storage (128GB expandable) and 3,000mAh battery 10W charger. In the camera department, you get a 13-megapixel single rear snapper with f/2.0 aperture and an 8-megapixel selfie snapper on the front with an f/2.2 aperture.
Considering the specs and the price range, the G7 series is going to face stiff competition from the Samsung’s new Galaxy M series, Xiaomi’s upcoming Redmi Note 7, Nokia’s 6.1 Plus and Honor’s 8X.
