Moto G7 and Moto OneLenovo owned Motorola had been teasing the launch of its Motorola G7 smartphone for quite some time and now the company has finally launched the device along with Motorola One (which comes as a surprise), which is the young sibling of Motorola One Power that was launched in the country last year. The G7 series debuted in Brazil, back in February 2019. Both the devices belong to the extremely competitive mid-range price segment and feature a dual rear camera setup along with 4GB of RAM. The Moto G7 is powered by the Snapdragon 632, while the Motorola One gets its power from the Snapdragon 625 SoC. Let’s have a look at the pricing details of both the devices before we discuss the specs in detail.

Moto G7 and Moto One Price and Availability in India

The Moto G7 is priced in India at Rs. 16,999 for the lone 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage variant. It comes in Clear White and Ceramic Black colour options. While the Motorola One is priced at Rs. 13,999 for the similar 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. It will also be available in Clear White and Ceramic Black colour options. Both the phones are up for grabs starting today from eCommerce giant Flipkart.com, Moto Hub stores, and authorised retail outlets across the country.

As part of the launch offers, the company is giving Rs. 2,200 for the Jio customers. However, the offer is applicable on the Rs. 198 and Rs. 299 Jio recharge plans.

Moto G7 Features and Specifications

The Moto G7 comes equipped with a 6.24-inch full-HD+ Max Vision display with 2270×1080 pixel screen resolution, a 19:9 aspect ratio and 403ppi pixel density. The display features a tiny tear drop shaped notch at the top and a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top for protection against scratches. In addition, the phone also comes with P2i water repellent coating to keep it protected from sudden water splashes. Under the hood, the device draws its power from the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC clocked at 1.8GHz. In terms of memory, there’s 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage which is expandable up to 512GB via microSD card. The phone runs Google’s latest Android 9.0 Pie operating system out of the box with Moto Experiences like Quick Capture, Fast Flashlight and Attentive Display. It is backed by a 3,000mAh battery with support for 15W TurboPower fast charging. For security purpose, the phone gets a rear mounted fingerprint sensor.

In terms of camera, there’s a dual rear setup which consists of a 12-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture + a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. The front hosts an 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calls.

Moto One Features and Specifications

The Moto One comes equipped with a smaller 5.9-inch HD+ (720×1520 pixels) Max Vision LCD display with 19:9 aspect ratio. It features a wide iPhone X like notch at the top and has a layer of 2.5D Gorilla Glass on top for protection against scratches. It also comes with P2i coating for protection against sudden splashes of water. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC along with 4GB of RAM and Adreno 506 GPU. The inbuilt storage capacity of the device is 64GB which can further be expanded via a microSD card (up to 256GB). It runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box with AI-assisted features such as Google Lens integrated into the camera app. It is backed by a 3,000mAh battery that has support for TurboPower fast charging.

In terms of optics, there’s a dual camera set up on the back which consists of a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture + a secondary 2-megapixel sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, there is an 8-megapixel camera on the front with f/2.2 aperture.
