Lenovo-owned Motorola has launched its latest smartphones in the Moto G series in India last month. The smartphones launched were the Moto G6 (review) and Moto G6 Play. At the launch, the company had confirmed that the G6 Plus will be launched in India soon. The G6 Plus is the high-end variant in the G6 series of Motorola smartphones.

The company has now launched a teaser on Twitter as a precursor to the launch of the Moto G6 Plus. “it’s time to ask for more from your smartphone. Get ready to say hello to the #MotoG6Plus, which is #BuiltForMore with a smart camera and serious performance! Stay tuned.”, said the company in the tweet. The launch date of the smartphone has yet not been announced by the company.

For the uninitiated, the Moto G6 Plus will feature a 5.7-inch MaxVision display with Full HD+ resolution. The display will come with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone will be powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor which will be complemented with 4GB of RAM. The smartphone will come with in-built storage of 64GB that is further expandable using a microSD card.

The Moto G6 Plus sports a dual rear camera with 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel sensors and an LED flash. The front camera for selfies packs an 8-megapixel shooter with a dedicated LED flash unit. The smartphone is preloaded with the stock version of Android Oreo out of the box. It boasts of both the fingerprint sensor and the face unlock feature to ensure enhanced security for the users. The smartphone is powered by a battery of 3,200mAh capacity.

The Moto G6 Plus is expected to launch with four colour options namely Sterling Blue, Indigo Blue, Fine Gold, and Silver. If the pricing in Europe is any indication, the smartphone might be offered at around Rs 24,000. The company has not yet confirmed or commented on the pricing of the Moto G6 Play in India. The availability and the pricing of the smartphone in India is expected to be revealed by the company in the next few days.
