Through the whole Moto lineup, Moto G 5G is the most affordable 5G smartphone introduced in India. The Lenovo-owned Moto has made it official that Moto G 5G is going to be the first device in the Indian market that will ship with Snapdragon 750G. The same smartphone along with Moto G9 Power had gone on sale in the European markets in October.

The key design features of the smartphone are a punch-hole screen cutout and a square-shaped triple camera array. The primary sensor is a 48MP one paired with an ultra-wide and a macro lens. Maintaining its legacy, Moto is offering stock Android UI with a huge 5,000 mAh battery. Moto G 5G will give a direct fight to another 5G smartphone, OnePlus Nord.

Moto G 5G: Key specs & features

The 6.78” LCD panel of Moto G 5G will come with a punch-hole cutout on the top-mid section. The LCD screen is an IPS LTPS panel with a resolution of Full HD+ at 1080*2400 pixels. The aspect ratio will be 20:9 with full support for HDR10. Though it doesn’t come with any water-resistant ratings, Moto is offering a nano-coating that will keep it safe from accidental water splashes.

This 5G smartphone comes with Snapdragon 750G on 6 gigs of LPDDR4 memory. The onboard storage will be a UFS 2.1 128GB and it can also be further expanded using a dedicated microSD card slot. The whole package is powered by a 5,000 mAh lithium-ion battery with fast charging support up to 20W. For an average user, the brand claims to provide 2 days of use on a full charge.

Coming to the optics, Moto G 5G sports a triple camera system with a 48MP primary sensor. The main sensor will be paired with an 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro sensors. The primary shooter will be an f/1.7 sensor whereas the wide-angle will give you a FOV of 118°.

The smartphone will come with a custom MyUX skin with a stock Android UI. There will be a few add-ons such as Moto Gestures and a custom camera interface. It will also come with a dedicated physical button for Google Assistant. The Moto logo on the rear will house a fingerprint scanner. Other connectivity features are dual SIM for 5G/4G connections, Wi-Fi 5, USB Type-C, GPS, Bluetooth 5.1, a 3.5mm audio port, etc.

Moto G 5G will be available in Frosted Silver and Volcanic Grey. The smartphone will go on sale at a retail price of ₹20,999 exclusively on Flipkart from December 7. As an introductory offer, the brand is giving an extra ₹1,000 discount on all HDFC cards including debit card EMI transactions.
