MWC or the Mobile World Congress 2016 is just a few days away and the excitement is in the air. The technological fanfare that is slated to be held from 22nd to 25th February in Barcelona is a Mecca for the tech geeks from around the world; it is here that the brands announce their newest and latest launches. Just as with any mega event, rumours are flying around thick and fast about the various new launches to be expected at the event. Amidst all the speculations, it is quite tough to keep track of everything and more importantly it is hard to decide, which is to be believed. While the internet is abuzz with the various reports on what to expect from the event, we at CompareRaja could not keep mum ourselves so we did our own little research and here we give a concise rundown of what we think each manufacturer has in store for you. Samsung takes to MWC as a duck takes it to the water; it would be no surprise if Samsung chooses to announce the launch of two of its new flagship phones, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. Samsung has the knack of pulling out the big guns early at the start of the year, and 2016 will no different with evidence suggesting that these models will be unveiled at the MWC. Apart from the two flagship smartphones, Samsung is also expected to announce the launch of its new Galaxy Tab S3 line at the MWC. The new tab supposedly has 8-inch screen and is powered by the all new Snapdragon 652 SoC processor and 3GB RAM. On the storage front, the device has 32 GB internal memory capacity.

You know that ‘Life is Good’ when the South Korean tech giant is set to make announcements of its new launches. With the Samsung going all guns blazing in bringing out their new Flagship phones; it is only natural that its closest and fiercest competitor, LG too brings out its ‘A’ game. This is exactly what the brand is expected to do at the MWC 2016 by launching its new flagship smartphone G5. Rumours are rife that LG is likely to mix things up with the OEM brand design; also, there are speculations that the power and the volume rocker buttons are removed from the back and are placed on the sides instead. Another interesting thing about this phone is that it is supposed to have a removable battery segment with a sliding unit at the back of the phone.

As for the specs, the leaked news indicates that it has a Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage capacity with a slot for microSD card. The phone is also slated to have a 5.6 inches screen with QHD display; it also has a small secondary display, which is pretty similar to the V10 model.

The Chinese tech giant has a huge history of announcing its new devices at the MWC and in 2016 it keeps with its long tradition. Xiaomi is expected to announce the launch of the Mi 5 on February 24th. What is more interesting is that there is quite a rumour floating in the tech world that the consumers at the tech convention will get a first-hand look at the device. The tech geeks and the mobile reviews are already excited about getting their hands on the device and get a closer look at its functions and features.

This is one device that is going to the catch the tech geeks’ attention the most. According to leaked news, the device is said to have a 2.5D glass with a QHD display that has a display resolution of 1080 pixels. On the hardware front, the Mi 5 is supposed to feature 3GB RAM and have 32 GB storage space. Another version with the 4GB RAM will have 64GB storage capacity. Under the hood of the Mi 5 lies the 3,600 mAh battery that keeps the device powered on for about 30 hours with mixed usage.

2016 MWC will mark the comeback of Sony after it gave the event a pass in 2015. But, this time, Sony is expected to make a grand statement at the MWC event with the announcement of its new Flagship tablet, Xperia Z5. There are also rumours that the brand will also announce the launch of C6 Ultra, which is Sony’s new flagship smartphone. The announcement of the new launches is likely to come on February 22nd. HTC

While there is no official news yet from the HTC house about its announcements at the MWC 2016, it would be quite safe to assume that the brand has chosen to skip the frivolous formalities. Even though nothing is heard from HTC, the internet is brimmed with rumours of the launch of HTC One M10 Flagship phone.

Initially, it was suggested that the phone will be released in March 2016, which was later procrastinated to April. But, with the MWC just around the corner, it would be no surprise that the brands push itself hard to unveil the phone at the tech mega event in Barcelona. Off late, rumours have been doing rounds about the specs, the M10 is supposed to feature a 5.1” QHD AMOLED screen. In terms of hardware, the phone is slated to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Soc processor, 4 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage.
