Microsoft has launched the all-new 2-in-1 tablet dubbed as Surface Go 3 in the Indian market. This laptop cum tablet will be next in line with last year’s Surface Go 2. The latter was released in November ’20. It will also be the debut device from Microsoft to ship  to the Indian market preloaded with the all-new Windows 11.

The design language of Surface Go 3 will remain almost similar with its predecessor. The laptop is equipped with FHD optical setup, both on the front and the rear. Along with it, the aspect ratio will remain as usual to be 3:2. Microsoft has also offered Stylus Pen support here.

Microsoft Surface Go 3: Key specs & features

The PixelSense 10.5” touchscreen panel on the all-new Surface Go 3 will produce FHD resolution with an aspect ratio of 3:2. On the front, Microsoft is offering Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the screen. At its core, the top variant will sport Core i3 10th-gen along with 8 gigs of LPDDR3 memory and up to 256GB of SSD storage. There will also be a few storage options, 64GB eMMC, 128GB SSD, and 256GB SSD storage, for the users to go for. There will also be an Intel Pentium Gold 6500Y variant available for the Surface Go 3.

Microsoft claims to provide a battery life of up to 11 hours on a single charge through its 65W charging adapter. Surface Go 3 will have Windows Hello facial recognition for added security. On the front, it will house a 5MP sensor which will capture videos up to Full HD resolution. The rear will have an 8MP sensor with AF and 1080p video recording.

On the software front, Surface Go 3 will come with standard Windows 11 Pro or Windows 10 Pro along with pre pre-installed Office 365 setup. A few connectivity features are 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, 2W stereo audio setup, and NFC. The audio setup will come with Dolby Atmos support. Microsoft is also offering a number of ports such as a 3.5mm audio jack, Surface Connect port, Type Cover port, microSD card slot, nano-SIM slot, and USB Type-C port.

Pricing and availability

The Pentium Gold variant of Surface Go 3 equipped with 8GB RAM & 128GB of high speed SSD storage will come with a price tag of ₹57,999 and the pre-book window is open on Amazon IN. For the customers who pre-order, Microsoft is offering the Surface Pen as a complimentary add-on, it’s worth ₹9,699. The official sale will commence on Nov 23.

The 2-in-1 laptop is priced quite cheaper for business users, it will be ₹42,999. It will be the variant with Pentium Gold 6500Y processor paired with 4 gigs of RAM and 64GB of onboard eMMC storage. Another variant with Intel’s Core i3 at its core paired with 3 gigs of RAM and 64GB eMMC storage will go on sale at ₹47,999. The top of the line Core i3 processor with 8 gigs of RAM and 128GB SSD will be available at a higher ₹62,999. The sale of commercial variants will commence next month, as claimed by Microsoft.
