Microsoft is officially launching the Surface line of laptops in India with the announcement of Microsoft Surface Pro 6 and Surface Laptop 2. The laptop and the tablet will be available for sale through online portals such as Amazon and Flipkart. It will also be sold offline through popular retail outlets such as Croma, Reliance Retail and Vijay Sales among others. The Surface Pro 6 comes at a starting price of Rs. 83,999, whereas the Surface Laptop 2 comes at a starting price tag of Rs. 91,999. The company is offering multiple configurations of both the devices.

Microsoft Surface Pro 6

The Surface Pro 6 is the newest variant of the hybrid Windows 10 tablet by Microsoft. The device is a 2-in-1 and can be used as a laptop at any time due to its kickstand and an optional snap-on keyboard. The tablet sports a 12.3-inch PixelSense Touch Display. It comes with a resolution of 2736×1824 pixels. It offers an intelligent inking feature too. The Surface Pro 6 is powered by 8th generation Intel U-series CPUs. As for its memory and storage, the device boasts of either 8GB or 16GB of RAM, onboard Intel UHD Graphics 620, and various SSD options which can go up to 1TB. As for its connectivity, the tablet also has a full-sized USB 3.0 port, Mini-DisplayPort, 3.5mm audio jack, Surface Connect port, Surface Type Cover and a microSD card reader.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 6 is available online and offline in India at prices starting Rs. 83,999. One of its models, KJV-00015, is only available for sale offline. The same is the most expensive in the series and is priced at Rs. 1,79,999. While the company claims that its models come with 1 TB of storage, it has not listed any of these models in India. The maximum users can get is 512 GB as of now.

Microsoft surface laptop 2

The Microsoft Surface Laptop 2 succeeds the original which came up last year. The new model will reuse the design of the previous version but is more powerful under the hood. The new Surface Laptop 2 is powered by Intel’s 8th generation processor which makes it 85% more powerful than the previous version. The device comes with up to 14.5 hours of battery life and weighs around 1.28 kg.

The laptop features a 13.5-inch PixelSense Touch Display. The resolution of the display is 2256×1504 pixels. The device comes with 8GB or 16GB RAM options. As for its memory, the SSD options include 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB option which is not yet launched in India. It’s powered by either an 8th generation Intel Core i5 or Core i7 CPU. It offers seamless connectivity through a full-sized USB 3.0 port, Mini DisplayPort, a Surface Connector port and 3.5mm audio jack.

The Laptop will be available online and offline at prices starting at Rs. 91,999. The LOO-00023 will be an only offline model and is comparatively expensive. It is priced at Rs. 1,48,999.
