Just a day after the launch of Xiaomi’s ‘Desh Ka Smartphone’, Redmi 5A, domestic brand Micromax introduced the Bharat 5. Vodafone customers with 1 GB data plan will get complimentary 10 GB additional data for next five months.

The Bharat 5 features a compact 5.2-inches HD screen. it is powered by the MediaTek MT6737 chipset clocked at 1.3 GHz. It has 1 GB RAM, which is disappointing when compared to the Xiaomi Redmi 5A, which lets you choose between 2 GB and 3 GB RAM. The Bharat 5 has 16 GB internal storage and a microSD card slot.

The phone comes with a 5 MP camera on the front and back. On the other hand, the Xioami Redmi 5A offers a 13 MP rear camera. The dual-SIM smartphone comes with 4G VoLTE support. Other connectivity features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and A-GPS. The device packs in a massive 5000 mAh battery.

The Micromax Bharat 5 costs Rs 5,555. The biggest plus point here is that unlike Xiaomi’s hard-to-follow flash sales, the Bharat 5 will be available via conventional stores.
