Micromax Canvas 4 – Latest Addition to the Canvas Family

Micromax has emphatically established Canvas line as its flagship smartphone line.  Canvas 4 is the latest addition to the Canvas family. On the spec front, Canvas 4 is an increment on Canvas HD, however, there are some very attractive features in offering. The price range is almost perfect, and so is the desirable spec list. Let’s look at the device in depth.
The design front is the most visible increment on the Canvas family. With its body in plastic and  anodized aluminum finish for the rims does leave some essence of iPhone 4. There’s still room for improvement of course, especially on the need for a rubberized back. The phone’s slim at only 9 mm, and rounded edges, pretty much like the Galaxy S line. There are two colors in which the phone is available, one in white and another in grey. As far as the sophistication is concerned, the grey variant looks better.

Micromax Canvas 4 comes with a 5 inch IPS display. It renders a resolution of 1280-by-720 pixels. The screen thus comes with HD resolution and is apt for playing videos and other sorts of media consumption. The IPS tech implies that the viewing angles for the display is pleasantly wide, which makes it easy on the eyes.

Camera is a front which is the real winner for the device. Canvas 4 comes with a 13MP rear facing camera with LED flash. While, 13 MP cameras are rare in the price range in which Canvas 4 is offered, a 5 MP front facing camera is almost non-existent as far as mainstream smartphones! Thus the camera suite for Canvas 4, is quite simply the best you can get. The camera app is naturally good as it comes with the improvements for Android Jelly Bean 4.2.

Processor and RAM
Canvas 4 comes with 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor. The upshot is a better graphical performance and it’s really not a surprise, given that almost all the phones in the mid-range use this processor. It comes with 1 GB of RAM, which makes it quiet capable to handle the Jelly Bean. For almost all sorts of users, the multi-tasking would be quite comfortable with this much RAM and a quad-core processor.

OS and Other Features
Micromax doesn’t play around too much with UI. It comes with the stock Android user interface. For the puritans, that won’t be much of a problem. As far as connectivity features are concerned, it has the standard suite of Bluetooth, WiFi, and HSDPA (3G).

Micromax Canvas 4 is actually a very good choice in the below INR 20,000 range. It has a nice look body, crispy screen, latest Android and capability to handle multitasking very well. Since it is released quite recently, and hence is subjected to price fluctuations. If you really want to buy Micromax Canvas 4 check out its best available deals at compareraja.in.
