Micromax Bolt A61, 4-inch budget smart phone listed on official site

Leading Indian handset maker Micromax has unveiled a smart phone- Bolt A61. The device is listed on its official website.

The Bolt A61 features 4″ capacitive touch display with 480*800p resolution. It’s powered with 1GHz single core Spreadtrum SC7710 chipset packed into a sleek metallic body. The device runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and is equipped with 256MB RAM. There’s 512MB in-built storage that can be expanded up to 16GB with microSD card.

In terms of camera, the new handset sports 2MP rear camera with LED flash with video recording support of up to 640×480p and a front facing VGA camera. For connectivity purpose there are options like- Wi-Fi, 3G, GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth along with dual-SIM support.

The latest phone by Micromax comes pre-loaded with several apps. such as Spuul, Opera, Hike, Game HUB and more. All of this is backed by 1500mAh battery the promises up to 3.5 hours talk time and 160 hours standby time.

The new handset is expected to compete against Karbonn A11+, Lava Iris 402, iBall Andi 4di, Karbonn A9 star and similar devices. Although the pricing details of the device are not yet available, considering the specs. it should be in the range of Rs. 5000/-
A few days ago the company also released another budget 5-inch handset, Canvas Juice A77, which sports 1.3GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, 1GB RAM and 5MP rear camera.
Other devices in the Micromax Bolt series are Bolt A67, A40, A27, A26, A51, A61 etc.
