By launching the Micromax A72 Canvas Viva, Micromax is yet at it again. This latest creation priced at around Rs. 7000, runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Powering the gadget is a 1GHz processor teamed up with a 256 MB RAM. Earlier Micromax had launched A116 Canvas featuring a quad-core processor. However, with the A72 Canvas, it seems like the company has moved down a step to offer its fans a budget smartphone with almost all the necessary features.
- 5 inch capacitive touchscreen display
- 1 GHz processor
- 256 MB RAM
- Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS
- 3 MP primary camera
- 0.3 MP secondary camera
Micromax decided to stick to the standard 5-inch display but with a slightly lower resolution (480 x 800 pixels) compared to its previous models. So, the A72 Canvas Viva is probably the cheapest phablet around. Of course, the older version of Android might disappoint you a bit. At least Android ICS could have been better. But, let not that be a reason for you to walk away. Micromax tried to fill up the empty space by housing in a 3 MP primacy camera along with a secondary VGA camera.
At just 110 MB, the internal memory seems to be a bit too low, but is further expandable up to 16 GB. The handset is powered by a 2000 mAh battery that offers a decent talk time of 7 hours, which is quite impressive for an Android based phone. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and EDGE.
Pining hopes on the successful hits of its earlier creations, Micromax hopes the A72 Canvas Viva will be immensely successful. But, will the brand new A72 Canvas Viva make it to the top? You’ll have to wait and watch. However, make sure to compare the best deals first at compareraja.in, if you have already planned to add the gadget to your existing collection.
