LG Q8 (2018) with 18:9 Display and Stylus Support Launched in South Korea

Just a couple of months back LG launched trio of its Q7 smartphones (Q7, Q7+ and Q7 Thinq) and now the South Korean tech giant has unveiled the youger sibling in the form of LG Q8 (2018). The phone is successor of LG Q8 that was launched last year and shares a lot in common with its elder sibling i.e. LG Q7 and LG Q7+.

The LG Q8 (2018) Pricing:

The LG Q8 (2018) is launched in company’s hometown South Korea at KRW 539,000 which is roughly Rs. 32,990 and USD 480. There are two color options available for the buyers- Aurora Black and Moroccan Blue. There is no word yet on the availability of the phone outside of South Korea.

The LG Q8 (2018) Display, OS, Processor, RAM, Storage and Battery:

The LG Q8 (2018) sports a 6.2-inch Full-HD+ display with 2160 x 1080 pixel resolution, 389ppi of pixel density and 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the phone is fueled by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC along with Adreno 506 GPU for graphics and 4GB of RAM. The onboard storage capacity of the device is 64GB which is expandable up to 2TB, thanks to the microSD card slot. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and is backed by a 3,300mAh battery with support for Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0.

The LG Q8 (2018) Display Camera:

In terms of optics, the The LG Q8 (2018) sports a single 16-megapixel sensor on the rear with PDAF lens and LED flash. The rear camera can also be used to scan QR codes of products. While the front bears a 5-megapixel snapper with a 100-degree super wide angle lens for selfies and video calls.

For security purpose, there’s a rear mounted fingerprint sensor to unlock the phone. The phone is also IP68 and MIL-STD 810G compliant.

In terms of dimensions, the LG Q8 (2018) measures 160.1 x 77.7 x 8.4 mm.
