
LG Q7 Budget Smartphone with Water Resistance Launched in India at Rs.15,990
South Korean handset maker, LG, has expanded its portfolio of Q series smartphones in India with the launch of LG Q7. The budget smartphone comes with IP68 water and dust resistance rating and MIL-STD 810G certification, which means it is protected from accidental splashes and submersions. Another highlight of the device is that it features QLens, which enables users to use the camera to improve the image searching and thereby enhancing the online shopping experience.

As mentioned earlier, the LG Q7 is a budget smartphone which comes in single variant i.e. 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and is priced in India at Rs. 15,990. It will be sold via all leading retail stores across the country starting September 1. Users will get two color options to choose from- Aurora Black and Moroccan Blue.
LG Q7 Features and Specifications:
The LG Q7 is powered by 1.5Ghz octa-core MediaTek MT6750S chipset along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage (up to 2TB). The device runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box and is backed by a 3,000mAh battery which features Qualcomm’s fast charge technology and can get up to 60 percent of juice in just about 60 minutes. The phone features a 5.5-inch full-HD+ FullVision display with 1080×2160 pixel resolution, an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a pixel density of 442ppi. It sports a 2.5D Arc Glass design with rounded-edges.
In terms of optics, you’ll get a single 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, an LED flash and f/2.2 aperture. The front hosts an 8-megapixel camera with wide-angle lens and f/1.9 aperture for selfies and video calls. The camera also comes with an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based camera feature “Q-Lens”.

In terms of dimensions, the LG Q7 measures 143.8 x 69.3 x 8.4 mm and weighs about 145 grams. Connectivity options included in the phone are 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, NFC, FM radio, USB Type-C, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack, so you don’t need to carry any extra accessory in order to listen to music using headphone with 3.5 mm jack. For music lover, the phone also comes with DTS: X 3D Surround Sound which gives a good audio output.
For security purpose, the LG Q7 features a rear mounted fingerprint sensor as well as Face Unlock feature.
Well, according to us, the LG offers decent specifications for its price tag. It has a good design as well as built quality and also offers water resistance which is rear for phones in this price segment. However, as you know that the budget smartphone segment in Indian market is already saturated and it will be interesting to see how LG managed to combat the competition with Q7.
