Lenovo Z5

The month of May was an exciting one for the smartphone enthusiasts and looks like the June is not going to be any different. To start with, Lenovo is all set to launch a true bezel-less smartphone Lenovo Z5 on June 5. And as the launch is near, its time for leaks and teasers.

Chang Cheng, the Vice President of Lenovo Group has been teasing the fans with upcoming phone’s renders and has even shared a few camera samples to highlight the performance of the camera. To further develop the enthusiasm about Lenovo Z5, Cheng has teased the back design of the phone via Weibo (Chinese social networking site). The image shows Lenovo Z5 in gradient glass back.

Here’s the teaser image…

The image makes it clear that the Lenovo Z5 will sport Huawei P20 Pro like gradient glass back. The colours of the device will change depending on how the light reflects on the glass back and the viewing angle making the device look more attractive and different than the conventional single-tone color schemes used by most smartphone makers. The render also confirms that the device will come with double-sided glass design with a metallic (Aluminium) mid-frame.

Some of the other features of Lenovo Z5 based on past teasers are,

  • 95% screen-to-body ratio without the notch
  • Impressive 4TB storage
  • 45 day long standby time
  • 30minutes of talk time at 0%

Lenovo has already rolled out invitation for the launch event that will take place at Chinese capital Beijing at 2 PM on June 5. The content of the invite tips the device to come with several more of such cool features. The invite also has reference to the ZUK brand series i.e. ZUK Z1, Z2 Pro, Z2 and ZUK Edge. This suggests that Lenovo Z5 will be a rebirth of Z series. The ZUK brand may not return but company may use same technological expertise in Z5 that they used in ZUK models.

With such striking features, the expectations are very high, and it will be interesting to see if the Lenovo Z5 lives up to the expectations. We are still a week away from the official launch and you can expect more leaks or official teasers of the upcoming device. Stay tuned as we’ll cover them all for you.
