Earlier in the day, Honor launched its Magic 2 smartphone with a slider camera and now Lenovo has launched its much anticipated Z5 Pro phone with a manual slider design and in-display fingerprint scanner. As a result, the company claims a screen-to-body ratio of 95.06 percent which is highest till date. The company touts that the slider mechanism has been tested 300,000 times for durability. The slider houses the front camera and an infrared (IR) sensor to support facial recognition. Another phone that features a manual slider camera is the Mi Mix 3.  However, the Z5 Pro is comparatively cheaper than the Honor Magic 2 and Mi Mix 3.

Lenovo Z5 Pro Pricing and Availability Details:

The Lenovo Z5 Pro is launched in China priced at CNY 1,998 (approx. Rs. 21,500) for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage. While, the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at CNY 2,298 (roughly Rs. 24,300). The phone will come in single colour i.e. Ceramic Black and will go on sale starting from November 11

Lenovo Z5 Pro Features and Specifications:

Lenovo Z5 Pro runs Android Oreo-based ZUI 10.0 operating system out of the box and is fueled by a 3,350mAh battery. It sports a 6.39-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with 1,080 x 2,340 pixel resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio resulting into an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 95.06 percent. Under the hood, the dual-SIM phone is powered by a mid-range Snapdragon 710 AIE processor along with 6GB of RAM and Adreno 616 GPU. There are two options in terms of inbuilt storage- 64GB and 128GB. However, there is no option to expand the storage via microSD card. All of this is backed by a 3,350mAh.

In the camera department, you get a dual camera module on the rear as well as front. The rear camera module consists of a primary 16-megapixel Sony IMX519 sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a secondary 24-megapixel Sony IMX576 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. The rear camera module also has an LED flash support. The dual front camera module comprises of 16-megapixel promary sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and an 8-megapixel IR sensor. The front camera features Beauty Mode for enhanced selfies and also doubles up as Face Unlock. In addition, there’s also an in-display fingerprint scanner for security purpose.

Alongside Lenovo Z5 Pro, the company also launched wireless Bluetooth earbuds that compete with the likes of Apple AirPods. The earbuds are AI-enabled and can be paired with the phone using Bluetooth 4.2. They are IPX5 rated for protection against water and dust. The battery capacity of the earbuds is 400mAh and frequency range is 20Hz-20kHz.
