Lenovo Z5 Pro with Notch-less and Bezel-less Display To be Launched in October

Earlier this year, Lenovo created a lot of hype around prior to the launch of its Z5 smartphone. The company rolled out several teasers hinting that the phone will be completely bezel-less and will have 4TB of storage etc. However, none of it was actually present in the phone and the Lenovo Z5 turned out to be just another mid-range smartphone with iPhone X like notch at the top of the display and a well-optimized screen-to-body ratio. It did not go down well with the Lenovo fans and it is still unclear that why was there a discrepancy in what was being teased and what was actually launched. Now, one of the company’s executives has confirmed that company is gearing up to launch an upgraded version of Lenovo Z5 dubbed as Lenovo Z5 Pro which may fulfill some of the features promised by the company prior to the launch of Lenovo Z5.

The company executive took to Weibo (Chinese social networking/micro-blogging site) to share an image of Lenovo‘s VP Chang Cheng holding a notch-less Lenovo Z5 Pro at an event (Technology Innovation Conference Tech World 2018 ) which was held in Beijing, China. The company executive further revealed that the phone will be officially announced on October 11. Going by the images, the phone will be bezel-less and notch-less and so there is a possibility that Lenovo will introduce slider camera similar to the one found in Oppo Find X. The screen-to-body ratio is also expected to be near to 100 percent. The company is also expected to employ an in-display fingerprint scanner for security purpose along with Face Unlock system. We expect the device to be powered by either Snapdragon 660 SoC or Snapdragon 845 SoC.

There is not much information available about the device at the moment and we would not like to get into too much of a speculation. We just hope that Lenovo makes up for the false hype created during the launch of Lenovo Z5.
