Lenovo Z5 Launched but It Is NOT Bezel-less

by June 5, 2018

lenovo-z5-launchedThe much-hyped Lenovo Z5 is finally launched, but it isn’t like what we had expected. The company had teased the smartphone several times hinting at a completely bezel-less and full-screen design without any notch or chin. However, the phone turns out to be just another mid-range smartphone with top display notch and well-optimized screen-to-body ratio. So, there’s 26.17mm notch at the top of the display and a significant 7.69mm bezel on the bottom. It is still not clear that why is there a discrepancy in what was being teased by the Lenovo‘s VP Chang Cheng and the actual design of the phone. No matter what, this will surely not go down well with the fans who had high expectations from the device. In addition, the phone was speculated to have 4TB of storage, but it turned out to be the capacity of company’s newly launched hard disk for PCs.

Lenovo Z5 Price and Availability:

The 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant of Z5 is priced at 1,299 yuan (i.e. roughly $200 and Rs. 13,600), whereas the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at 1,799 yuan (i.e. roughly $280 and Rs. 18,850). The phone is already available for pre-order in China and the shipping will start from June 12. The company did not reveal anything about the phone’s launch in India or global market.
