Lenovo has announced the launch of two new smartwatches named the Watch S and the Watch C. This closely follows the launch of two hybrid smartwatches namely the Watch 9 and the Watch X. The Watch S is a hybrid smartwatch. The Watch C is a smartwatch for kids.

Lenovo Watch S

The Lenovo Watch S is an improved version of the Watch 9 with a new dial design, sapphire glass, and calfskin leather. It does not have an OLED screen like the Watch X. The wearable does not comprise a heart rate sensor and a blood pressure monitor and is also devoid of all the other sensors that the Watch X possesses.

The Watch S has the capability to track sleep, monitor and count calories burnt, and record the number of steps taken while the user undertakes a physical activity such as walking. The Watch S can also notify users of calls or messages by vibrating. The features of the Watch S can be viewed inside the Lenovo Watch app. The Watch S comes with 5 ATM water-resistant rating.

As for its price, the company is charging $34 for its Watch S, which converts to around Rs. 2500. The smartwatch is available in Black and Red colour options. The smartwatch will be available for sale on Lenovo’s official online store from 30th October 10 AM onwards.

Lenovo Watch C

The Lenovo Watch C is a proper smartwatch for kids. It sports a 1.3-inch AMOLED square-shaped display. To safeguard the display considering the fact that it is intended for use by kids, the smartwatch is protected by Gorilla Glass. The smartwatch comes with a camera above the display. It can be remotely controlled by the guardian(s) to take a picture whenever they require to check if the child is safe.

The Watch C features GPS (Glonass, A-GPS) for location tracking. It can seamlessly connect with other devices via Wifi. The smartwatch comes with a built-in compass. The companion app that comes with the Watch C can be used by guardian(s) to set home location and school location so as to receive notification when their kids reach any of these places.

The wearable also comes with a speaker and a microphone which enables parents to speak to their kids in case they want to. Kids can also use the Watch C to call their friends who own Watch C. In case of an emergency, the users can use the SOS button that has been included in the Watch C by Lenovo.

The watch has an IPX7 rating which implies that it can resist splashes of water, rain etc. It come with silicone straps. The company claims that the Watch C is 12.8mm thick and weighs just 42g. It comes in two colour options namely blue and pink. It is priced at $58 which roughly converts to a little over Rs. 4250. The first flash sale of the watch C is on October 22 and it will happen through Lenovo’s official online store.
