Chinese laptop maker Lenovo has refreshed its ThinkPad line-up for 2018. These machines are thinner and light and are based on the latest 8th Generation Intel Core processors. These machines run Microsoft Windows 10. For security, the new ThinkPad laptops are fully compatible with Windows Hello with face recognition technology.
In the ThinkPad X series, you now have X280 Yoga and X380 Yoga. These new laptops come with the robust build quality. The X280 offers up to 16.6 hours of battery life on a single charge. The X380 Yoga goes up to 13.6 hours. The X380 Yoga comes with Active Pen and secure access made easy with IR camera. ThinkPad X280 starts at $999 (approx. Rs 63,500). The X380 Yoga costs $459 more.
In the ThinkPad T series, Lenovo now offers ThinkPad T480, T480s, and 580. These are powered by 8th Gen Intel Core processors. Users can opt for battery options delivering up to 27 hours of power on a single charge. ThinkPad T480 starts at $989 (approx. Rs 62,700), and the T480s is priced at $1,269 (approx. Rs 80,500). The price of the T580 starts at $1,079 (approx. Rs 68,500).
Finally, there’s a ThinkPad L series that comprises of L380, L380 Yoga, and L580. These laptops too are powered by Intel’s 8th Gen Core processors. Users get the option to opt for conventional or touch screen variants. There’s also an option to upgrade to discrete AMD graphics. The ThinkPad L380 Yoga starts at $549 (approx Rs 35,000), L380 starts at $449 (Rs 28,500), the L480 starts at $779 (approx. Rs 49,500), and the L580 starts at $769 (approx. Rs 48,700).
