Motorola India took to Twitter to confirm the launch of its Moto X4 smartphone in India. The phone is set to break over on November 13 and the press invites are being sent out. Moto fans would be hoping that there are no more delays, as the Moto X4 was supposed to launch on October 3.
The Moto X4 was first unveiled at the IFA 2017. Back then it was showcased in a Sterling Blue colour. It sports a metal chassis with the 3D curved glass on the front and back. The home button doubles up as a fingerprint sensor. A major differentiating factor is the IP68 certified body with dust and water resistance. Other budget Moto handsets are limited to water repellent nano-coating.
The Moto X4 comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS display with 441-pixel density and is protected by an unspecified version of Corning Gorilla Glass. Powering the device is Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 630 SoC which is an octa-core clocked at 2.2 GHz coupled with the Adreno 508 GPU. It also comes with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB on-board storage.
The Moto X4 sports dual-lens camera at the rear. The primary being a 12 MP with f/2.0 aperture and the secondary 8 MP ultra wide angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The latter provides good wide angle shots and shallow depth of field effect. The front camera is 16 MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture to entice the selfie buffs.
