Lenovo was the first to launch a smartphone powered with Tango and Asus is all set to bring this change into the market. Lenovo with its Phab 2 Pro and Asus is all set to launch Tango with its new ZenFone in January 2017 and here’s everything you need to know about the two.

Well, Tango is more than just a dance form. Tango, the new Augmented Reality technology by Google is a step into the future. With features like 3D based GPS navigation and the ability to create an immersive e-shopping experience, Tango can do wonders with your smartphone. It allows you to design and visualise the decor for your home at scale. Its accurate navigation could help the visually impaired find their way out when travelling to a new locality.

Centred around machine vision, Tango makes use of the phone Camera and a sensor that helps with motion tracking and depth perception. Who wouldn’t want one of these?

The Lenovo Phab 2 Pro comes with a 6.4-inch QHD display and can adjust to the lighting in your surroundings; it also handles light reflection with its variable lighting feature. As for the Asus ZenFone AR, it is expected to have the typical 5.5-inch QHD Display with a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels just like the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro.

The Phab 2 Pro was launched with an 8.9mm aluminium unibody and a rear side finger print scanner. To know what the Asus ZenPhone looks like we all might have to wait for its launch at CES 2017, and we’re sure it’ll be worth the wait.

The Lenovo Phab 2 Pro is packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 Process optimised specially for Tango, while the Asus is powered by an Octa Core 2.0 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC Processor. While ZenFone is expected to have a 6 GB RAM and a 64GB ROM which can be expanded to 128GB using a micro SD card, the Lenovo Phab 2 featured a 4GB RAM.

Asus ZenFone comes with a 13MP rear and an 8MP front camera, unlike the Phab 2 Pro which sported a 16MP rear camera. Either way, you’ll be able to capture some amazing moments with these phones.

Lenovo paired up alongside Dolby Atmos for a 5.1 Audio capture and three mics and a 360 voice Noise-cancelling for some fantastic music and voice clarity. It is powered by a 4050mAh battery with a 2.4x turbocharging feature. The ZenPhone is expected to have a smaller 3500 mAh battery and will be available in black and white colours. Lenovo launched its version in a champagne gold and gunmetal grey.

Both Asus Zenfone and Lenovo Phab 2 Pro are in fierce competition with each other. The two phones are also priced in the 30,000-35,000 INR range, making it even difficult for users to pick one!
